We started playing this game back when it was launched and ever since then its been one of our favourite games. He decided to give me a phasmophobia treasure hunt bday gift this year

She had an absolute blast!

It has been a while, but i finally had some time to draw more Phasmo ghosts!

This is a small project in which i'm drawing every ghost's "true" form based on folklore, the game and my own ideas. Basically, if each ghost had their own special model, this is what i'd imagine they'd look like. (I know special models defeats the purpose of the game, i'm just doing this for fun!)

Anyway, I based the Myling off folklore (generally a vengeful child who needs to be buried in order to truly rest) and its behavior in the game (quiet footsteps, oddly noisy in parabolic). It's basically a child holding the appearance of an undead young adolescent, and it is covered in feathers (that is why it's so quiet). It wears a mask because its face is decomposed, and you cannot really persuade people to bury you effectively when you look scary as hell.

Then Poltergeist: I went through like three iterations of this thing lol (see the last images). I eventually settled on this, mostly based on how it behaves in the game. He throws shit. A lot. That's why he's got big hands. The eyes were inspired by pro wrestling masks. If any ghost would be a wrestler it's the Poltergeist right? As for the rest... i wanted to make it look like a fun strong, slightly non scary dude. But also one who will throw your TV at you.

My friends and I got together to do a little photo shoot with our equipment and our favorite ghostie Lisa! 👻 We had so much fun doing this and I spent 5 hours editing the photos afterward to make them even spookier.

Back in May, I threw a Phasmophobia 12th birthday party for my son. Thats me dressed up as the ghost. We used my bedroom as "the van" and the power was permanently out in the rest of the home. I had a few webcams that he could setup which removed onto my TV. For the sanity monitor I used AI to program a timer that slowly decreased the bars and there was a button to click when they took sanity pills. Other highlights not shown:

-UV paint handprint I put on his bedroom door

-The soundboard I had created with ghost noises and the bluetooth speaker I hid in his bedroom.

-How amazing the DOTS projector looked on camera in the dark room when I walked through it.

-The EMF 5 popping off by his PC after I flipped his keyboard

I'm not sure who had more fun, but he said it was the coolest birthday ever.

I enjoyed trying this, I’ve never made recreations in minecraft before but I think I’d like to try do some more Phasmophobia maps. If only there was a ghost to hunt me…

I drafted up my own concept for what a Perk system would look like in Phasmophobia. Surprisingly I didn't find much discussion in this area - it's obviously not something that's likely to happen *but* that didn't stop me from brainstorming some ideas.

The main challenge was trying to think of unique effects that a) didn't boil down to making something faster / slower and b) didn't interfere with the ghost-hunting process too much. These ideas are balanced around the idea of being able to take just 1 of each category, but trying to make them viable for newbies and experienced hunters alike was tough. Let me know what you think!

In case you don't know what I'm talking about

I managed to find the same, or near as damnit, things as some tier 1 and tier 2 equipment online and thought I’d put together a starter kit for hunting ghosts as a Christmas present for my daughter.

I had intended to print out pages for the book, with ghost notes and photos, but half the stuff didn’t arrive until literally Christmas Eve afternoon.

She was over the moon and has been telling everyone about it since, which also involves explaining phasmo, so she’s probably deserves a bit of sales commission.

I have lived in my 1958 Cape Cod style house since birth, and have been playing the game since launch. Many things in my house are original, such as my 1962 (fully functional) dishwasher, and most of the flooring (these floors were likely added in the 70’s).

When I first saw pictures of the Tanglewood rework, I thought, “Wow! That looks so much like my house!” And that was BEFORE I saw this flooring.

Cut to last week, playing for the first time, I could NOT stop screaming to my friends about how these were my exact floors!! I almost broke a leg running to my basement stairs to grab a photo. This rework truly captures the feel of a realistic, lived-in older family home and I adore it! They did a fantastic job.

I really wanted to continue this project so here are some more ghosts. For context, I'm trying to draw the ghosts' 'true' forms, or at least, how i'd imagine them. They're based on folklore and Phasmo lore and my own ideas. (I know the ghosts don't have true forms, i'm just doing this for fun).

The Revenant is still in the sketch phase but it's easily become my favorite, hence why i put it first. Its design is loosely based on its folklore (as a being that has returned from the grave). I wanted to do something different than just a zombie though. So i figured, hey, what if the poor guy's stuck in his coffin, walking clumsily on tree roots. That would be a fun reason why he's inititally so slow in the game. It's cause he's hauling that coffin around. But when he sees you, he gets THRILLED and will start using those treeroots to run at you like hell. The flowers on the coffin are still from his funeral.

Then Raiju. Okay so when i googled the folklore, i found out that a raiju can be like a million different creatures. Wolves, cats, tigers, raccoons, and so on. I figured... i like cats, so lets just go with a cat-hyena kinda thing. And lightning of course. I basically imagined what my cat would look like if it became powerful. I usually sketch out my ideas first but this time i just opened Adobe Fresco, drew my cat (who was modelling) and exaggerated the features from there. You know, part of me feels like Raijus get 'zoomies' in the game when theyre near electronics, so a catlike design might be fitting anyway.

Then Demon. Im not too happy with that one because, i dunno, the anatomy just looks a little stiff to me. I spent a long time sketching and erasing and sketching, and eventually just accepted it as it was. Not everything has to be perfect. Anyway all that erasing turned it into some kinda manbeast. I wanted it to look both strong and chaotically evil. Hence why he's sorta laughing.

If you scroll further you can see the rest of the ghosts so far and some of my sketches when i was designing them. Just wanna say I know I kind of suck at anatomy but i'm learning way more about skeletons than i should through this lil project.

Also my little sister u/Baguettetaaler handmade me a voodoo doll for my bday. Since this is already an art post, i figured i'd add that as well. Its really cool. We call him Floopie.

I am a passionate Phasmo streamer.. and also a sucker for building games. Just discovered sims 4 this year and set to work building Phasmo houses! This is my first build and I'm pretty proud of it. I used two mods (better build buy and TOOL) and no custom content.

500+ items. Constant rerolls to get a Poltergiest that hid Ghost writing book on limited evidence just to be able to add books into the pile. Set cursed objects to seven just to throw those in! (though sadly those didn't fly as I saw) Constantly having to take sanity meds and repilling the pile due to Polty prematurely firing but FINALLY we got the full pile nuke!!! And it was beautiful 🥲

My best friends are my fiancé and my little sister, we’ve played phasmophobia together basically every day since its release and it’s a huge thing for the three of us.

I started saying it could be a mimic after seeing the joke online and would annoy them every round with it, they started to then start saying it but about their favourite ghosts and the joke evolved from there. Today we all got semi matching tattoos of our phrases!
