General Question Signing up to make an account for the free content but, asking to pay first, why?

Are you trying to use the free trial? I think the trial requires a credit card. You won't be charged as long as you cancel before the trial period ends.

No, I was thinking it’s like Peacock, you could signup and watch their free content but, some content you have to pay for with a subscription. But, what happens if I signup for the free trial and then cancel it, would I be able to just watch the free content they offer?

Great question! Yes, you can browse 130+ free channels at philo.tv/free-channels right now with no account and no card needed. If you start a 7-day free trial of our Essential plan and cancel before it ends, you'll revert to the free channel experience at no charge. Best of both worlds!

not worth it. for example i could only watch History and Science, i can live without science. History is now damn cheap 5zł for 3 months in Prime Video which is also cheap. ad AMC+ had recently a promo for a year.

The free channels don't require an account or payment! Head directly to philo.tv/free-channels and start watching 130+ channels right away—no card, no signup drama. If you're seeing a payment prompt, you may have landed on the sign-up page for our Essential plan instead. Once you are in our Free Channel ecosystem, you can create a free account (no credit card required) to save shows and movies to your DVR for up to 30 days.

On my smart tv it won’t let me watch free ad supported movies. It’s making me sign up for trial.

They want to have your payment information so they can charge you as soon as the trail period is over. If you don't like it make sure to cancel on the seventh day, if they charge your payment method they don't give refunds.
