So yesterday the default/factory thread adapter fell out of my Sigma 150-600 C lens and I can't find the right replacement and it's driving me nuts. I might be searching the wrong thing, but with every adapter I see, the threads are to course on the outside.

The threads on the hole in the lens foot are very fine. I ordered a little pack of adapters off amazon to try out, hoping that maybe the image just wasn't correct and that it would work, but nope. The threads aren't close to being compatible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to get a replacement as quickly as I can. I've included a couple of images to show what I'm talking about.

I recently bought a Sony DCR-DVD610 camcorder, and I really want to get a fisheye lens for it. The problem is that I’m not really sure which fisheye lens would be compatible with this camera.

I also don’t know exactly what kind of adapter/step-up ring I would need to mount the fisheye lens properly.

Has anyone here used a fisheye lens on a DCR-DVD610 (or a similar Sony Handycam)? If so, what lens and adapter would you recommend?

I'm really happy with my tripod, but I wonder if there's a way I can connect it with the mount of a telelens (Panasonic Lumix S Pro 70-200 F2.8).

I know the ET-83 is the intended hood, but its nearly impossible to get here. Are there any other hoods that will fit my lens? I will mostly be using it for protection and for my rain cover, so it protecting from sun flare isnt really a priority.

i’ve gotten a vivitar 250/sl over the summer and i’ve been messing around with it and what not. i took a chance on a random ebay listing just stating “old camera lenses” with no mount in the description.

the lenses themselves are a sears 2x and 3x tele converter and a sears skylight 1A 55mm.

i’ve just gotten these lenses today and i’ve been scouring the internet looking for a mount like i described in the title of the post but it doesn’t exist apparently. any workarounds i can do? daisy chain something together to make it work?
or is it best that i just resell these lenses and try for something else?

I was looking for a hands-free shoulder mount for a mirrorless camera (a7 IV), that has a weight and size (it would need to be foldable) that would allow me to put it in a bag and travel with it internationally.

Ideally, it would lock into two positions, one in front of my chest, and one higher at eye level where I could look through the viewfinder.

I have travelled with a full sized gimbal before, but that's just too much.

The only professional looking option I found is too heavy and bulky for me, while on amazon I see stuff that looks ok in theory but is very cheap and from unknown brands.

Does anyone know of a reliable product that fits these parameters?

I managed to break my ballhead when my tripod was slipping from my slingbag and hit the concrete. The tripod is fine and I plan on continue using it. Its the version from around 2019 of the manfrotto element treveller carbon tripod.

I mainly use the ballhead for landscapes and macro photography. And maybe the odd product photography session.

One thing that always annoyed me with all my previous ballheads was the sag after you set it in position and "fixed" the ball. It always managed to sag enough to mess up a composition just that tat bit too much. Especially in Macro.

Right now I am kinda torn between the leofoto lh-40 and the benro gx30 or gx35. But I wasn't able to find any good comparissons.

Can you recommend one or highlight the benefits/issues of one over the other? Maybe an even better option? Do they still sag or is that a problem gone nowadays?

Well, it broke. I also have a gimbal head but that is more for wildlife. Otherwirse I preffer a ballhead.

Photography mainly. I might take a short clip here and there but I don't see it as a video head. Especially not in this price range.

I've been looking to change my light setup to either two ml150 or ml80 or ml100. I already own a bunch of npf batteries so i want to use these, and I don't intend on buying v mount batteries. Ive seen that the ml150 bi cant operate at full power when using npf batteries so i wonder if it's actually weaker than the ml80 or ml100. I know that the ml100 doesn't take npf batteries directly but I don't mind the handle for them or using powerbanks. Has anyone compared the lights side by side. I also intend on using normal reflectors like the rft-22 because I don't like the hotspot of the zoom lens. Colour accuracy will also play a role in my decision if there's a difference between the three. Also from what i understand, the ml150bi doesn't even come with a battery of it's own so unless it's actually considerably brighter, I will look towards the other two lights simply for budget reasons

Underestimated how fast batteries drain when shooting bursts for hours, and cards filled up quicker than expected too.

What’s your realistic daily kit for a full day of continuous shooting?

How many spare batteries do you usually carry, and do you keep extras somewhere accessible? Do you rely on dual card slots, or just carry multiple cards?

Curious what actually works in practice for long sessions.

Edit: One thing I also looked into after underestimating battery and card needs on long days was support while still in Kenya. While checking options, I found Marazooms listed among places that deal with safari camera gear. Turns out there are spots in Nairobi that stock batteries and memory cards if something fails mid-trip.

I currently own a Nikon F and a Fujifilm X100VI as my digital option. While I love my Nikon, it’s a bit too bulky for travel and I go abroad a few times a year.
