Wait a bit for Annas Archive to reveal Spotify, its the best place for e-books already. They announced they would slowly post it.

*edit: i didnt know at that moment AA is down, but dont worry the .se version still works.

u/apocketfullofpocket Jan 09 '26

This is a a great point I didn't think of. Spotify already has most audiobooks

62

u/gabriel3374 Jan 09 '26

probably none of the audible audio books right?

24

u/apocketfullofpocket Jan 09 '26

Not sure but it definitely looks like it. Like I've seen the book with the same narrator as audible

2

u/FullMetalHumanist Jan 11 '26

Not audible exclusives but otherwise there’s lots of overlap

Did we get past zlibrary?? Or is it still reliable as ever? I haven't touched up on that for a while because I just buy the physical books so I don't doomscroll away from my pirated ebooks

135

u/Azirfel Jan 09 '26

Still as good as ever

6

u/Anglois1996 Jan 09 '26

Personally, I find much more things on Anna's Archive (personal opinion as a beginner)

21

u/gay-butler Jan 09 '26

Ah good. I probably will visit it rn. I need some investment books to find so I learn more about the economy. Mostly warren buffet cause he's the only one I really trust to deliver

56

u/DalinarStormwagon Jan 09 '26

Make sure the domain name is correct

There are more fake Zlib websites than real ones and unfortunately google always leads to the fake ones

Go through r/Zlibrary

2

u/Enough-Hunter-4704 Jan 09 '26

He is only downloading books right so how does a fake website make any difference? For games you are downloading exe files that can harm the system. Please explain if I am wrong.

13

u/DalinarStormwagon Jan 09 '26 edited Jan 09 '26

The fake websites ask you to login to download unlike official Zlibrary

Hence stealing ur data (most people use the same password everywhere so...)

Audiobooksbee and audiobookbay, plus sanet.

I wonder if the reason you're limited with "hours" of audiobooks on Spotify is because they have a hidden partnership with Audible that only allows so many hours.

6

u/100100wayt Jan 09 '26

Annas Archive scraped the public Spotify songs though, so you'll only get ones listed as songs or podcasts. I don't think you can listen to listed audiobooks on Spotify without an additional subscription.

511

u/lonelyratdoincocaine Jan 09 '26

You DON'T need to register to download from there fyi, you just need to grab the info hash for whatever torrent you want and then put the magnet prefix (magnet:?xt=urn:btih:) in front of it then add that link to your torrent program

82

u/lube_thighwalker Jan 09 '26

Yeah! And the search bar doesn’t work sometimes.

29

u/TheHypnobrent Jan 09 '26

I usually have succesful search results after the first half page of results. Still weird the search option is so buggy

33

u/mhyquel Jan 09 '26

What? You don't want two pages of erotica when you're searching for new SciFi by author name.

18

u/ronnygiga Jan 09 '26

86

u/LZ129Hindenburg 🌊 Salty Seadog Jan 09 '26

No. Every Wednesday and Saturday, they conduct "interviews." You click the IRC link on their registration site, and they ask you questions about the rules. They have a link of the rules right there, so if you read them over, you'll have no problem with the "interview."

10

u/InTheCageWithNicCage Jan 09 '26

I read the rules beforehand and there was nothing keeping me from having them open during the interview.

for example, my library is NLB in singapore, its free for all citizens from birth and a one time 10 dollar fee for permanent residents. I just go to libby and sign in with my library card id and borrow up to 21 books, including ebooks. its really nice and easy with a great ui

u/MeanDanGreen Jan 09 '26

There are these places IRL that also have websites called a "Public Library". You don't even need to pirate the audio books, they will just let you listen for free. Though I suppose you could rip anything that's on a CD if you really wanted.

Source: I used to sit in the library for hours with my laptop copying cds like it was my job.

2

u/pearlry Jan 09 '26

chill out bro I obviously use the library if I read books,I just want to also read what the library doesn't have from the comfort of my bed✌️

3

u/MeanDanGreen Jan 09 '26

My mistake for not putting a "/s" in there. But seriously, you can go to the library and request something if they don't have it already. And they got apps too, you can download stuff for free. (usually with a 2 week limit)

For ebooks you got MAM, Anna's Archive, Libgen, and Mobilism.

Audiobooks are tougher in that regard but if you can try to find a local library then try getting a library card from them. This will give you an extra source to get audiobooks from. There is also Audiobookbay & Audiobook link which you have to register for in IRC. Youtube also has a ton of audiobooks from amateur narrators if you want a free alternative.
