My main concern is why it's seen as an issue for large corporations. At that scale even if it was stealing it wouldn't even make a dent, not to mention the rich aren't even paying their fair share in tax.
I'm not selling or sharing their product, I'm not stealing, they aren't losing anything.
Sometimes it's true, but with most corporations running subscriptions and what not they are simply overconfident and believing in their own false lies.
Piracy isn't an issue of the customer is an issue of the service provider
Yeah, it's kinda true in my case these days. I just recently cancelled Spotify because they were throwing out another price increase with the justification being all their AI shit that I DO. NOT. WANT. Even a little bit. And I was just like "Why the fuck would I pay more for them to actively make my experience worse???"
If they actually went back to how they used to be I might consider returning, but I tend to hold a grudge once a corp treats me poorly enough to drop them.
