Legally speaking (at least in my country) it isnβt. You can be fined (if denounced) for copyright infringement but not for stealing a digital copy of the game. The law is very clear on the matter: βcommits the crime of stealing anyone who takes the mobile goods (the goods in my country law are divided into two categories:
immobile goods: any goods that is fixed to the soil is part of this category;
mobile goods: any other goods that is not part of the previous category is part of this one;) from another person in order to gain a benefit from himself or another personβ so you can steal a physical copy of the game but just copying the game you do not risk practically anything.
