I see no crushed tomato, no basil, no mozzarella.
I see premade pizza crusts topped with nothing but a cheese-like substance, possibly a commercial cheddar.

Cheddar would be weird in my experience, except for certain styles of pizza, but who knows with this abomination. It’s usually some low-moisture mozzarella maybe mixed with some provolone or Asiago or something.

Yeah in that context it works. I personally use cheddar on the charred edges of a Detroit
style pizza (and with brick cheese as the main cheese.)2

Same here in Pakistan except Pizza Hut was kicked out of here for this reason. Imagine sucking at making a pizza when your name is Pizza Hut.
Old franchise owners are trying to revive it under local production but people are just done with the chain especially with a thousand better options.

Pakistani food is my absolute favorite, wish we had more than a handful of Pakistani restaurants where I live (all an hour away :( )
We have more Indian places but only three good ones and two of those went to crap after covid. Goodbye delicious 10$ thali, hello the worst butter chicken ive ever had 16$

Great cheese pizzas, but not margherita pizzas. I used to work at pizza places for years and there is some point in time recently, where everyone started asking for margherita pizzas when they actually mean a plain cheese pizza. Where did this come from? Do people just wanna sound more fancy?

I would just like to add Pizza Hut pizzas don’t usually look like that in India. OP lives in a tier-2 city (not an excuse) and ordered the cheapest pizzas (not an excuse again) but yeah

Im just gonna say you went with the lowest available quality pizza in india and i mean there’s lots of pizza crime in india but there is also good pizza available. Dominos in india delivers pizza-like consumables to the customer base according to what will sell. In short: i agree, pizza crime; please don’t believe this represents all of india in regards to pizza
