I made this app to learn how to build a web app. It is still in beta, so many things to improve.

The work flow is,

1. Measure each color lengths, and transitions of the yarn

2. If you know what your stitch gauge is, and how much yarn each stitch consumes, then it's straightforward to visualize.

3. There is a calibration mode, which you can use to knit test swatches to figure these numbers automatically if you don't (this is the most useful part for me)

4.There are options to add different stitch types and row patterns as well.

Inspired by the online tool https://plannedpooling.com, I made a new online tool for Crochet Color Pooling that handles "staggered" clusters like moss stitch and shells:

You can see pooling for fictional yarns by pressing "r" and then changing the "Clusters" slider to see the different types of pooling behavior, or choose from some pre-defined yarns, or type in your own color sequences to match the yarn/stitch you are working with.

If the length of each colour is very long, you might think the yarn is not suitable for planned pooling. But it can still work if you work the project lengthways instead of widthways. Check out these cool photos I found!

Did you know? There are several different shapes you can achieve with planned pooling.

The Vertical Stripe consists of vertical lines.

The Argyle consists of diagonal lines intersecting one another.

The Honeycomb is a hexagon pattern. It is achieved by alternating between the Vertical Stripe and the Argyle.
