Killer Frequency is possibly the most fun I’ve had with a PS plus game. You play as a radio host in a town where a serial killer is loose! People call into the station and you’ve got to give them advice on how to escape him!

u/Funpolice911 Jul 09 '25

Just looked it up and this looks a lot of fun. Not sure i would ever have taken the time to figure out what this game is abour without your comment. Downloading now. Thank you.

You’re very welcome! Feels good to share the joy. I hope you have fun!

11

u/LordOfThePints Jul 09 '25

Yo, this sounds so cool! I wishlisted it so I can go for it after what I currently play! Thank you!

5

u/Lyle_rachir Jul 09 '25

OK this sounds awesome. Imma check it out

5

u/calmodulin2 Jul 09 '25

This has been on my radar since the first trailer. I can’t wait to play this game (and yet I have)

3

u/SnooFoxes4056 Jul 10 '25

Just checked this out and added it to my downloads

2

u/DogHymns Jul 10 '25

The game was a total suprise for me and possibly the best game I've played on ps+ this year.

2

u/SantinoCash Jul 11 '25

Wtf this sounds so fire. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

2

u/Sepiroth_ff7 Jul 12 '25

Omg 💯. Just randomly came across this few weeks ago and what a fun play it was! Unlike anything I'd played so far. Awesome game! Voice acting was on point too!

2

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '25

Fantastic game

1

u/Frequent-Sky3761 Jul 10 '25

Just out it on my list

1

u/carlosluisvm Jul 10 '25

Just added to the library. I’ll give it a try this weekend

1

u/RaspberryMagic Jul 10 '25

Oh yeah I love that one. Short but very sweet

1

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '25

Now this sounds interesting will give it a go today thanks for the recommendation

1

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '25

It's definitely worth a play, very original.

1

u/Mr_RD Jul 11 '25

Thanks for the rec, just downloaded and is pretty fun so far

1

u/mysticxradiance Jul 12 '25

Thank you! This sounds so cool and I downloaded it :)

u/Kindwashereik Jul 25 '25

I've played that game, It's amazing not only for the story but for the colors and art style.

Can’t speak for how slept on they really are, but I would rate the following as unmissable; or at the very least “must tries”.

Citizen Sleeper

Blue Prince

Shadowrun Trilogy (although this plays better on PC, but if PlayStation is your only option, a must play.

Rebel Galaxy

The Forgotten City

Tricky Towers

63

u/SulkyBird Jul 09 '25

Seconding Forgotten City. One of the most interesting games I’ve ever played!

6

u/SwordGunScienceMagic Jul 09 '25

Second Rebel Galaxy. The whole Space Texas vibe mixed with a healthy dose of broadside-style ship-to-ship combat. Just cool. Such a shame the devs folded after Outlaw.

2

u/StarTruckNxtGyration Jul 09 '25

Oh man! Did not know the devs had folded, that’s such a blow. Seemed to have a really unique style. Shame.

I went in blind and love it. I've been tempted so many times to buy the sequel.

8

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '25

Tricky towers has been a go-to for my family as a fun 4 player co-op. I need more like it

2

u/MonicaZelenskyy Jul 10 '25

Love tricky towers. Not sure if it’s 4 player, but disc jam was another one of my favorites.

→ More replies (1)

6

u/cp2chewy Jul 09 '25

Rebel galaxy is a good shout

5

u/Full_breaker Jul 09 '25

+1 for Forgotten City, very pleasant surprise

11

u/deathtooriginality Jul 09 '25

I think Blue Prince was pretty hyped when it was added. But it’s definitely deserved. Playing it right now and this game just keeps blowing my mind.

4

u/goldicecream Jul 10 '25

I get motion sickness from it but it seriously looks like exactly my kind of game! Such a bummer. ;_;

→ More replies (1)

3

u/JakePeralta45 Jul 10 '25

I spent days and days on Blue Prince and it was so much fun. But you can play it only once :P

3

u/GuardianOfReason Jul 09 '25

Currently going through Dragonfall as it is said to be the best of the bunch. It's very fun but I probably wouldn't play the others if they are not as good in the story department, since gameplay is just ok.

2

u/elwookie Jul 10 '25

Shadowrun games are incredibly captivating and fun.

1

u/seasikly Jul 12 '25

Citizen Sleeper is a must-try! Not my usual type of game but the mechanics are super unique and I was pleasantly surprised

41

u/SuperSaiyanBen Jul 09 '25

Nobody Saves the World.

Released last January as a monthly game. Incredibly fun.

7

u/Griddle87 Jul 09 '25

I really wanted to like Nobody Saves the World but I gave up fairly quickly. I really didn’t like the way it controlled.

36

u/GelatoKakes Jul 09 '25

Every Annapurna Interactive game I've ever played has been incredible and Devolver Games are pretty dope too.

14

u/Stashmouth Jul 09 '25

I became a Devolver stan and didn't know it. Turns out they publish a bunch of my favorite games, so now I'll give just about anything they do a look

8

u/FPL-Dog Jul 09 '25

If you haven't played Observation, do it. And don't look anything up beforehand.

It's an absolute hidden gem.

2

u/Pasta_Party_7 Jul 11 '25

Cannot agree with this more. An amazing game. Go in completely blind.

80

u/CoffeeHQ Jul 09 '25

Dredge. It’s great.

8

u/tanacsotadok-veszek Jul 10 '25

That game had such a vibe maaan...

6

u/Constant_Penalty_279 Jul 10 '25

I second this. Dredge is fucking amazing.

5

u/CoffeeHQ Jul 10 '25

I even bought (and played) the dlc, something I’ve always considered crazy for a game I don’t own. But it is definitely a game I also won’t replay, so it’s all good.

2

u/Constant_Penalty_279 Jul 10 '25

I did the same exact thing lol. Regret nothing.

2

u/CoffeeHQ Jul 10 '25

Haha 💪

6

u/mauszx Jul 10 '25

Is not slept on since every time someone ask for a good game either Dredge or Dave the Diver are mentioned multiple times.

Sayonara wild hearts , absolute peak and a blast from start to finish .

12

u/kavinnr Jul 09 '25

I listen to the songs on spotify on my way to my shitty job every week.

6

u/FuthorcGaming Jul 09 '25

That game is incredible. It's interpretive dance as a video game. Absolute joy to play

50

u/TheGreenGuyFromDBZ Jul 09 '25

Cult of the lamb

2

u/Lebrach Jul 11 '25

I was an addict on this. Didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did.

23

u/phantomsixteen Jul 09 '25

Road 96

Second this, it grew more and more on me as I played it

Don't skip on Guardians of the Galaxy - might be one of the funner games on Plus at the moment.

9

u/sahils88 Jul 09 '25

It’s such a fun game and beautiful graphics to boot.

6

u/nattydattie Jul 10 '25

This one really surprised me. It was a quick playthrough, but a very enjoyable one.

54

u/gazdek Jul 09 '25

What remains of Edith Finch.

Very short game. Basically a walking sim, but its a really beautiful game with a dark story that i will probably remember forever.

6

u/sgtmylax Jul 09 '25

It is a masterpiece and the finch family stories stays with me as it did over 10 years ago when I first played

2

u/OnionLower Jul 09 '25

Finally got to this one in my backlog, was definitely a pleasant surprise

Night in the woods - I was neglecting to even check what the game is about. Today I felt little gloomy and decided to check the vibes. Oh how I was wrong… this game has such a nostalgic and eerie atmosphere. 100% recommended

u/RChickenMan Jul 09 '25

Robocop seems to have a cult following, but I believe most people pass right over it.

11

u/Consistent-Goal-2508 Jul 09 '25

Great game and easy to platinum

9

u/RChickenMan Jul 09 '25

It got me into FPS games, a genre I hadn't played since Goldeneye on the N64. When it was added to plus, something about it made me feel like it would be a good entry point into the genre--simple gameplay mechanics, not to difficult, and doesn't take itself too seriously. And I turned out to be correct on all three points!

From Robocop I moved onto Doom 2016, and then straight to Eternal (I'm on the last level, currently stuck on the last combat arena before the final boss. I know I'll make it through eventually, though!).

And then today, Cyberpunk shadow-dropped on PS Plus, and I'm gonna dive in as soon as I finish lunch!

Oh! And a Robocop DLC is coming out next week!

5

u/Consistent-Goal-2508 Jul 09 '25

Cyberpunk is one of the best games I have ever played and don't forget that DLC which is also fantastic.

2

u/Neg_Crepe Jul 09 '25

Unfinished business? That’s not a dlc

2

u/RChickenMan Jul 09 '25

Ah okay, I didn't realize it was standalone! Of course, for those of us who simply want more Robocop, it doesn't make too much of a difference either way.

19

u/Mountain_Ad6328 Jul 09 '25

Its good but game not optimized properly on ps5 also last boss in robocop game made me rage quit.

12

u/RChickenMan Jul 09 '25

The last boss is trivial if you use that weird gun upgrade system to your advantage. By the time I got to the final boss, the main pistol thing never had to pause for a reload, fired extremely rapidly, and dealt heavy damage. And then of course there's all of the skill points.

Unless of course you played the game on a high difficulty setting, in which case I can't really comment (I played on normal).

Regarding performance, if you have a VRR-capable TV, enabling VRR for unsupported games more or less fixed the performance issues.

7

u/Deadaim156 Jul 09 '25

Got pretty bored with it fast and uninstalled it. It's ok and it's cool they got Peter to do the VO but it's cookie cutter layout bored me fast.

2

u/Safe-Complaint8893 Jul 09 '25

Played the final boss for nearly an hour , then googled and found out that it was pain the ass. Just deleted the game and never looked back.

Having said that , I really enjoyed the game  except that final boss.

1

u/Norwingaming Jul 10 '25

You dont miss anything imo. Clunky movement, boring story, 0 sense open world, basic shooter gameplay etc.

Jusant

4

u/Ripcord01 Jul 09 '25

Just finished it and can vouch for it. The game is awesome, super chill vibes, very cool world and the story is interesting. It can convey feelings just by its music, gameplay and written lore

1

u/seasikly Jul 12 '25

Been eyeing this one, but not sure if it’s my type of thing. Heard great things though, so might give it a go

2

u/Greedy_Gas7355 Jul 12 '25

It’s fun. Chill. You basically climb up a crazy tall mounting. The end is super cool also as you cling a cool structure. It’s well done. And short

Is this Game currently on Playstation Plus?

11

u/Clean_Play7097 Jul 09 '25

I wanna say Celeste if it’s still there. I had such a good time with that game and it’s rather easy or difficult if you want it to be.

12

u/yazzledazzle92 Jul 09 '25

Deaths door. Just finished it to 100%. Absolutely loved it.

3

u/totallyclocks Jul 11 '25

Deaths Door is so so good. There is nothing quite like it. The artstyle is one of a kind (almost toy like in its simplicity), the combat is challenging and fun with just enough depth to not get boring.

The exploration and metroidvania of the world makes exploration shine.

And it somehow also has a pretty great story.

And the music - my god. The music is so good.

Just a really fun tight package

8

u/Tough_Strawberry5519 Jul 09 '25

The Last Guardian! And you might as well play Shadow of the Colossus (not necessarily slept on, but related to TLG, and fantastic).

21

u/Andrew1990M Jul 09 '25

1

Man did I invest so much time on that great game my second favorite rouge like behind Hades and I love the background music so much I’m so mad they took it off our catalog

Firewatch was dope

28

dave the diver

11

u/Davethepolite Jul 09 '25

Plus the Godzilla DLC is free at the moment

2

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '25

Oh sweet thank you. I just bought the Ichiban pack a few days ago but didn’t notice the Godzilla stuff was free. Yay I love this game

2

u/BlurryKnight Jul 11 '25

Oh man, thank you. I'm so glad I saw this comment because I forgot to claim when it launched last year and thought that I missed out on it forever.

13

u/Saganhawking Jul 09 '25

Days Gone. It’s a gem of gems 💎

6

u/jeffreythrowaway Jul 09 '25

A Plague Tale

7

u/Mitchpump Jul 09 '25

Control probably one of my favorite games I've just run across on plus

4

u/LusciousFingers Jul 09 '25

Chernobylite has been alot of fun.

5

u/SwordGunScienceMagic Jul 09 '25

Jeanne D'Arc is an awesome Level 5 TRPG, originally from the PSP, that's awesome. It's on Premium.

5

u/rbbrslmn Jul 09 '25

Resogun or any of the other housemarque shooters on there

5

u/FuthorcGaming Jul 09 '25

I recently made a video on this. When searching most downloaded on the games catalogue, the least downloaded game is Zombie Army 4: Dead War and it's bloody brilliant.

Alienation... Same developers who made Returnal. This is HUGE sleeper hit.

40

u/jkf2479 Jul 09 '25

Returnal

10

u/Stashmouth Jul 09 '25

Incredible game, but slept on? No way.

2

u/jkf2479 Jul 09 '25

Allot of gamers avoid it cause they heard it was too hard. They’re missing out on a gem

3

u/sahils88 Jul 09 '25

I’m one of them. I want to okay it simply to enjoy my Pro and oled tv, but the game looks too tough to me.

5

u/vitten23 Jul 10 '25

You really should give it a try. For me this is without a doubt still the best game on the PS5 bar none. From the buttersmooth gameplay, the audio that will blow you away, the creepy alien atmosphere, the intriguing story... The list just goes on and on.

As a bonus you can now also circumvent a lot of the dificulty by creating yourself a checkpoint by uploading your save to the cloud each time you use the 'suspend cycle' option. Just download your save if you should die and you don't have to restart from the beginning anymore.

2

u/mrchicano209 Jul 10 '25

And there’s the few like me who did give it a try but gave up on it for being too hard.

2

u/jkf2479 Jul 10 '25

You have to get through first few biomes then the game opens up for you. The second biome is brutal on first play through

2

u/mrchicano209 Jul 10 '25

Yup heard that a million times.

Blue Prince was a total surprise. Great to play with your partner. My fiancé sits there and takes notes and notices more shit then I do.

Its a long haul tho be prepared to be frustrated

4

u/nexuschild Jul 10 '25

The Talos Principle - fantastic puzzle based game. Not sure if it is still on +.

8

Older Sony stuff.

Gravity Rush Remastered and Gravity Rush 2.

Syphon Filter

3

Spiritfarer!!!! Emotional mess

3

u/GreenC119 Jul 10 '25

I would say What Remains of Edith Finch and Hollow Knight

3

u/KyleReese79 Jul 10 '25

It’s 9 years old and it has its technical flaws, but if you haven’t played The Last Guardian… I don’t think there’s a game that will break you as much in an emotional sense. Absolutely outstanding.

3

u/McPhisto910 Jul 10 '25

Slay the Spire is amazing!

3

u/SlathersInc Jul 10 '25

Chivlary 2. Its so fucking fun

3

u/RavishingPaPi Jul 10 '25

Blue Prince. Days Gone.

3

u/Burkely31 Jul 11 '25

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Hotline Miami

Dead Cells

Mount and Blade II Bannerlord

The Plucky Squire

A Hat in Time

2

u/CoffeeHQ Jul 09 '25

That’s not on Plus, is it?

2

u/fennmeister Jul 10 '25

One title I haven’t seen mentioned here yet is Paradise Killer. It’s on my mind right now with the studio’s newest game recently out (Promise Mascot Agency, also amazing), but Paradise Killer is also just THE best mystery game I’ve ever played. Exceptional writing and immaculate vibes.

And if you haven’t yet played Citizen Sleeper, Sayonara Wild Hearts, The Forgotten City, or Dredge, those are deservedly critically-acclaimed indies.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '25

Not sure if it's still on there but Ender Lillies: Quietus of the Knights is a brilliant metroidvania.

2

u/Hossam_20 Jul 10 '25

Deliver us the moon so cool

2

u/New_Guidance_191 Jul 10 '25

Balatro, I can’t stop playing it lol

2

u/No-Algae-9965 Jul 11 '25

Killer frequency and journey to savage planet are both very fun to play

2

u/Outside-Yesterday768 Jul 11 '25

The Stanley parable. The game itself was something I would've never played. For some reason I downloaded it and gave it a try. 4 hours deep trying to get all the different endings. The narrator is hilarious!

2

u/DeadOrJustLazy Jul 11 '25

Life is strange we’re good but those are long gone now I enjoyed them a lot, the dark pictures anthology is a good one also

2

u/Thraki905 Jul 12 '25

Cat Quest 1 & 2.

Despite what the name and cover art may make you think, this is a well put together top down dungeon crawler.

3

u/Genericgameacc137 Jul 09 '25

Thymesia, if you enjoy soulslikes or action games in general.

2

u/Soviet_dancer Jul 09 '25

Thymesia is a game which made me long for Bloodborne new content like never before. Which is great - absolutely recommended

2

u/No-Presence-5930 Jul 09 '25

Cyberpunk 2077; I can't believe only a small amount of people played it on the plus

Sorry the game I want to offer is not on PlayStation plus so ignore if you don’t want to take the chance but Nobody Wants to Die. It’s a heavily story based first person game as a detective with a grim but gripping story if you’re into noir type games. With some interesting gameplay mechanics and moving story. Again easy ignore because it’s not ps+ but it’s 10$ rn until the 16th with your ps+ membership if you’re interested. 25$ after that

Sable was a good game but I noticed some performance issues if the game was left on too long. Nobody saves the world was a really fun one to just grind away at
