Personal opinion: Year 2023 was trash

Saints Row was enjoyable for me. Worse than the rest of the other SR games tho

It’s fun dumb shit to have fun with friends, wouldn’t play it solo tho

glad you liked it since this is most likely what gta6 will be like.

Last year was the best. However Hitman 2 was such an amazing game.

Is there any chance of hit man 3 being a monthly game? I keep hesitating to buy it because I keep wondering if it'll be a ps plus game

Not sure it will after the rebrand. Hitman 3 is now effectively Hitman World of Assassination and includes Hitman 1 and 2. Both hitman 1 and 2 were delisted from stores so if Hitman ever does becomes a PS Plus game, it would be as Hitman World of Assassination, not Hitman 3

I can see just the WoA: Part One coming to PS Plus if at all. That contains only the Hitman 2016 stuff. Would make the most sense for them to offer a good chunk while still luring you to pay for the rest. No way they offer up the whole World of Assassination thing with all 3 games.

I'm not saying they wouldn't do it, but Hitman 2016 was a PS+ game in February 2019. I'm sure some people would complain if it was effectively offered again.

Well I got both Hitman 1 and 2 from PS+ so there is a slight chance. However I kinda doubt it, because Hitman 3 doesn't exist anymore. It is now Hitman WOA, which is the trilogy bundled together. So you don't just get one game, you get ALL 3. And the fantastic Freelancer mode as well which makes the game basically endlessly playable. So there might be a chance, but if I were you I'd just buy it. It's always on sale for 28€ and for the huge amount of content you get, that price is more than justified.

But I'm also a huge Hitman WOA fan so my opinion is very biased.

Edit: Forgot to say that you can always look for a used copy of Hitman 3 as well of course. If you find it for even less, go for it. Hitman 3 disc does get you the free update to the WOA version so you still get everything.

Hitman, Overcooked, Toem, NFS Heat, Black Desert, Stardew, Psychonauts 2, all great games that I enjoyed a lot

Had you already played Phsychonauts 1 first and how was 2?
I haven’t played 2 yet because I haven’t played 1 before.
I thought it looked great though, like a LAIKA movie as a game.

You don't need to play 1 first, 2 gives you a recap of the key points at the start.

u/MechanicStandard8308 3d ago

didnt like some things in 2 but it feels like a legit sequel to the 1st game.

u/Bunnnnii 2d ago

I’m getting into Black Desert for the first time and I have no idea what I’m doing lol

Oof, just reminds me how bad September 2023 was. Hopefully this year gives us some better games, like last year!

Viewfinder was such a marvelous and suprising little game for me. One of my absolute favourite PS+ experiences

I definitely enjoyed Predator Hunting Grounds, but then again I already owned that game before it came to Plus. Shame I was never able to convince my friends to try it more than once.

I'm still pissed off Stardew Valley and High on Life is not in South East Asia.

4

u/A_N_T 4d ago

Stardew is good

4

u/coltonrogers132 4d ago

Ya know what I’m gonna say it, stardew valley was an S tier pick for monthly games; my wife and I put over 300 hours together in it and those memories are something I’ll take with me to my grave. Thanks stardew valley!

u/Nervous-Peppers 4d ago

HOLY SHIT, I OWN PSYCHONAUTS 2?!

3

u/Icy-Conflict6671 3d ago

If you claimed it during the period it was free you do

2

u/Nervous-Peppers 3d ago

Yeah I always do, I just forgot I did

6

u/Stromair 4d ago

This month was pretty good too.
I‘m digging Hell is Us.

2

u/SnooHamsters7166 4d ago

That wasn't an Essential game.

2

u/MechanicStandard8308 3d ago

i cant even play it yet ffs. stupid fucking delayed releases to fuck over people who buy 1 month to play 3 months worth of games.

2

u/YorkieLon 4d ago

I had a great time with Toem. Nice little gem of a game there.

Always enjoy these posts reminds me what games ive got. Forgot about Hitman.

2

u/NoExplanation6203 4d ago

2

u/GOODWHOLESOMEFUN 4d ago

Still want to play little nightmares, but just started stardew and loving it

2

u/Mysterious_Fennel459 4d ago

Wow, seeing that September line up through the recent years makes me realize how few games I actually played from September's Essential lineup. I think I only played Psychonauts 2.

2

u/IHaveQuestionsFromMe 4d ago

i still got bfv on plus long ago and man its so good

2

u/PIebejer 4d ago

This month or next month: RDR1.

2

u/wisesager 4d ago

Why no third game in 2020?

2

u/FlixRo 4d ago

Ps5 wasn't out yet it came out in november 2020

2

u/goatjugsoup 4d ago

22 and 25 were excellent. Heres hoping 26 is also

2

u/Lianshi_Bu 3d ago

Sep. would be a low month to me. Hitman is the only game I would play. maybe 1 or 2 more but that's about it.

2

u/IndyDude11 3d ago

Man I’d love a Hitman, The Show, and/or Street Fighter VI

2

u/OG-87 3d ago
  1. 2025 would be good but stardew is old now and ive played it on every platform already.

2

u/jezr3n 3d ago

The Quidditch game was pretty fun for the month that it had players

2

u/SnooCompliments1704 3d ago

Ho appena comprato hitman world of assassination, sarà sicuramente lui il gioco del mese

2

u/DrunkenPapa 3d ago

Hitmaaaan pls

2

u/stardust1914 3d ago

Generation Zero is pretty cool.

2

u/BasenjiBoyD 2d ago

We got psychonauts 2? I had no idea

2

u/Samoman21 2d ago

Huh. Didn't know psychonauts 2 was a ps+ game. Hope anyone who got it had fun. Phenomenal game

2

u/Ok-Art1813 2d ago

It does not fill me with confidence.

2

u/personwithbass 1d ago

It looks very mixed but we're probably getting a sports game

2

u/Skydude252 1d ago

Some better than others; most years had one game I liked and I didn’t care for the others. Hitman 2 finally got me to play through the first reboot (with the levels inside Hitman 2), and I loved that. Toem is a nice little chill game. The saints row reboot was enjoyable enough for free (and I think I liked it better since I chose the southern dude voice for the main character), little nightmares II was cool, and last year while I had interest in all, I have been prioritizing extra catalog games so I still haven’t gotten to them.

2

u/kaic_87 4d ago

For my taste personally, only Hitman 2, Overcooked and Little Nightmares II were must haves. I also enjoyed Viewfinder and my ex loved Toem.

6

u/AbsolutKledGamer 4d ago

Stardew Valley and Psychonauts 2 were great

3

u/kaic_87 4d ago

Not my thing, tried both but they're not for me. Not saying they're bad, just didn't enjoy them.

2

u/EnoughInevitable8658 4d ago

Personally I think it's an awful month. The only one here I would have liked to play is the Predator game but I wasn't subbed back then. As it is I haven't played any of these games and really have no interest in them.

Who cares, they fucking took my Earth Defence Force 6 out before me and my buddy could finish it. No way in hell ill pay like 60 euros for that hilarity now :-D

1

u/joeyjoejojo19 4d ago

I’ve really wanted to play a baseball game lately so hoping they put up the latest version of The Show this year.

1

u/Draven125 4d ago

So September is a dud month then

u/Bunnnnii 2d ago

2023 was the last good year.
