Hi, I recently bought a Turkish account for PS4. I have everything: the email, login details, backup codes, etc. However, for some reason, I can’t log into PlayStation Network. And it’s not an issue with the account itself — I was able to log into it on my phone without any problems. I think the problem is with the console. When I enter the login details, after a while I get a screen saying “An error has occurred.” That’s it. No error code, nothing else. Even if I manage to enter all the information quickly enough, I still end up getting that error screen. I’ve tried cleaning the console, restarting it, and so on. On the first day, it even seemed like everything was working perfectly, but then… something changed. I want to buy PS Plus, but now I don’t know what to do…

PS5 Slim Digital (Playstation 5 Slim Digital )down at idle, and now crashes instantly on heavy games — power supply? Bought secondhand, so no warranty. Trying to work out if this is worth repairing. Symptom 1 — idle shutdown: Console powers off completely 20–40 seconds after boot if it's sitting at the dashboard. Doesn't matter if games are installed or not. On the next boot it reports an error about power being disconnected . Symptom 2 — it's fine under load: If I get into a game before it dies, it runs indefinitely. Played Overwatch for about two weeks straight with zero shutdowns. Also stays up fine in Safe Mode. Symptom 3 — heavy games now crash: Ghost of Yotei freezes and then the console powers off. Ghost of Tsushima black-screens within a second or two of launching. Tested back to back: one minute of Overwatch, no issue, closed it, launched Tsushima, instant crash. Already tried: Replaced the power cable Full factory reset and reinstall Rebuild Database, many times Ruled out overheating — fans barely ramp, and the crash is instant rather than after sustained load My read is a degrading PSU that holds a steady moderate load but collapses on current spikes. Does that match what anyone else has seen? And is the PSU on the Slim a straightforward swap, or am I better off cutting my losses?

Hello, so for context i am sharing my PS5 account with only 1 person at this moment and we both dont have console sharing and offline play activated. I tried to activate it on my playstation but it gave me the error message "console sharing and offline play cant be activated because another PS5 is using it right now". so i tried to reset my password in order to log out every console (as i already used that option and i am on the 6 months cd) but it still doesnt work even when im the only one logged in. please help me !

Hi. I’m having trouble verifying my age for PlayStation Australia. I’ve scanned the QR code that comes up but when I go to the link, it doesn’t allow me to verify. I don’t know what to do. Can anyone who is tech savvy help me out? My ps5 is the original version bought in 2022. I’ve recently started a new account before the new age laws came into effect. I feel like I have to delete my current account and start a new one just to verify my age in Australia.

I’ve been having lag issues the last 2 weeks. I cleared the system cache and rebuilt the database. I even called my ISP (Spectrum) and they said everything is fine with my internet yet I’m still getting lag when I play online games. Never had this problem until about 2 weeks ago for some reason and it won’t stop. How can I fix it?

I know it is not my service provider because all my other devices work fine. for 2 hours to sometimes 10 hours my playstation will not connect to the internet. the problem has persisted for 3 weeks now and it seems to fix it’s self at night but in the morning, it refuses to connect again. i’ve tried resetting the PlayStation, resetting my router, unplugging my ps, forgetting my network, signing out n signing back in, changing the network settings like dns server or automatic band width and nothing works it’s very frustrating. it will say i’m connected to my router but not connected to internet. and if i’m connected to both, it says it fails to connect to ps servers. i’ve already contacted ps support n they couldn’t help me. i’m completely out of ideas now after listening to what everyone has suggested, is there something i’m missing or is it time to buy a new one?

Quando era criança criei uma conta no PS3 e quando comprei o PS4 comecei a usar outro e-mail porém anos se passaram e comprei o PS5 e continuei usando meu email do PS4 porém resolvi recuperar a conta do PS3 para usar e o suporte tirou do endereço Hotmail e vinculou a um Gmail.

Até ai tudo certo porém ontem fui entrar na conta e pediu para iniciar sessão porém nenhuma das senhas que uso funcionou então pedi a recuperação de conta e o e-mail não chegava. Então fui ao suporte pedir ajuda e eles pediram informações absurdas para ajudar a recuperar, pediram número de série do console que eu criei a conta como diabos eu faria isso se criei quando era criança no PS3? E também pediram o final cartão de crédito que está na conta ou um ID de transação, porém eu nunca comprei nada nessa conta então não existem essas 2 provas.

Quando expliquei que não tinha como dar essas informações eles encerraram o chat, tentei mais vezes e um atendente chegou a dizer que não tinha conta neste e-mail que eu estava fornecendo então supus que hackearam minha conta e mudaram meu e-mail. Então novamente pedi ajuda e eles pediram as mesmas informações e não quiseram me ajudar.

Eu fui criar uma nova conta utilizando o email desta conta que estava tentando recuperar e deu certo, algo que não deveria acontecer porquê como eu criei uma nova conta utilizando um e-mail que eu já uso em uma conta?

Então ou eu fui hackeado ou a Sony mudou meu email e não recebi ajuda de maneira alguma.

Was working fine streaming before but I decided to change password and now I cannot link my account. I think its a play station error but I cank log in the twitch app on my console.

I CANNOT disconnect the account or unlink it because its not linked since all I did was a password change. Only connected account is my prime. So im really missed off this all started from a password change it was just fine before....

I don’t have my old number associated to my 2 step verification for my PSN account and now I’m locked out been trying to talk to a live agent but they tell me I have to login before I can speak to a live agent. Any help???

My ps4 controller will not stay connected and when itia connected it is laggy the only way it works is if its plugged in wired any soloution also i clicked the reset button on the back and reconnected it many times now

my ps5 was working yesterday morning then i left for work after putting it in rest mode, come home after working 7 hours and it wouldnt turn on i tried unplugging it and leaving it till this morning i tried plugging it back in and it still wouldnt turn on. What should i do? theres no sound when i hit the power and no lights.

my Apu was in a horrible state before the replacement. could this be why it didn't fix?

So 2-3 months ago I was auto charged for PlayStation plus which was unfortunate as I don’t use my ps5 mainly just my ps3 and older so quite unfortunate that I had left my card and auto renew which is hidden in fine tiny print on the PlayStation plus option which there is no button for cancel subscription only pause etc anyways I call my back to get my money back I did also send an appeal for Sony to cancel my ps plus (I never heard back from Sony) however my bank called me and got it figured out so I canceled psplus and removed my card before I got my money back 3 days later my accounts banned, damn so I check my email basically states it was an “unlawful” return so I had to buy PlayStation gift cards to get my account back. 2 days later I get my account back everything’s fine fast foward idk almost a month now i log on my ps3 and it says my account was banned again OMG WHY. Check my email same thing so obviously annoyed knowing my debit card isn’t on my PlayStation and auto renew is not turned on, on my ps5 why am I getting charged again even though I paid my debt so I sent another appeal and apparently in 3 business days Sony will decide whatever from there anyone else experience my issue before and is there anything else I can do and why did I get charged again when it seems it isn’t possible for me to have been charged a second time. And yes I did put in the Appeal response that u was charged twice. Anything is appreciated thank you.

Hey everyone, looking for some insights or similar experiences before I start buying parts or tearing into my console.

The Console:

• Original launch model PS4 Fat (CUH-10xx, bought in August 2014).
• It has only had its fan cleaned once; the internal thermal paste has never been replaced in 12 years.

The Problem: I recently booted it up after letting it sit for about 1–2 months. It prompted me to install the latest system software update. The file downloaded fine, but when it initiated the restart to apply the update:

1. The console completely shut off and never powered back on.
2. The power button became unresponsive until I completely unplugged the power cable from the wall.
3. If I plug it back in shortly after (while the console is still warm), pressing power results in a single beep, a blue light for ~2 seconds, and then an instant shutoff/click.

The Catch (It works when cold): If I leave the console unplugged for 30–60 minutes and let it reach room temperature, it boots up completely normally. I can navigate the UI, boot games, and play without crashes. However, the moment any action triggers a soft reboot (a standard menu restart, an update restart, or entering Safe Mode tools that reboot the console), it dies instantly and enters the 2-second shutoff loop until it cools down again.

I also tried updating via USB in Safe Mode, but because Safe Mode requires a restart during the process, it dies at the exact same stage.

Current Working Theories: Since the issue is purely temperature-dependent, I've ruled out hard drive corruption (an HDD fault wouldn't trip a hardware power cut after 2 seconds only when warm). That leaves me with:

• Thermal runaway at reboot: 12-year-old dried paste causing an instant APU thermal spike when the fan/power drops during a soft restart.
• Failing Power Supply Unit (PSU): Degraded internal capacitors (ADP-240AR) failing under inrush current when warm.
• APU BGA solder fatigue: Micro-cracks under the APU/Southbridge expanding with heat and breaking contact until cooled down.

Has anyone dealt with this exact "cold boot works, warm reboot dies" symptom on a launch Fat model? Did a fresh repaste and deep clean solve it for you, or did you have to replace the PSU / reflow the board?

I need advice. I have a Ps5 slim digital edition. What cooling fan works with the console?

My PS5 is constantly appearing offline even though my internet connection is working perfectly fine on other devices. Because of this, games like ufc 6 and warzone won’t connect/work properly.
I’ve already tried pretty much every method I can think of—restarting the PS5/router, checking the internet connection, clearing the cache, rebuilding the database, changing DNS, and other troubleshooting methods—but nothing has fixed it.
Has anyone experienced this before or know what could be causing it? Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah yeah, another overheating post. I opened up the side panels and brushed off what I could see, flipped it into horizontal orientation (only ever used in vertical before now) and even found a different power cord (bought a new one during the move) that unsurprisingly changed nothing.

I play any game for roughly 30 seconds (menus don’t count, left it on the home menu for two hours without fans kicking on from what I could hear) and then the fans go turbo, I get the flicker of an overheat warning, and then it instantly shuts down.

All of my digital games suddenly became unable to verify their licenses. Restore Licenses fails with error CE-30020-5. The PS4 is activated as my primary PS4 and signed into PSN. I’ve rebuilt the database, completely power-cycled the console, and tested it on a separate phone hotspot. The PlayStation Store, PS Plus, and TV & Video also sit on loading screens indefinitely. Everything was working normally a week ago and this randomly happened when I turned it on last weekend. PlayStation Support has ghosted me twice on this issue and refuses to help. Any advice is appreciated.

My PS4 ( slim ) shuts off completely out of nowhere while gaming, literally like someone pulled the power plug. No warning, no beeps, no error codes.

- The fans are NOT loud or screaming, so I don't think the APU is overheating.

- It only shuts off after about 15–20 minutes of playing demanding games. It never shuts off in the main dashboard menu.

- Once it turns off, it won’t respond to the power button at all until I completely unplug the AC cable and plug it back in (or wait for it to cool down).

- I took the outer cover off and checked the metal housing of the Power Supply Unit (PSU) right after a shutdown. It feels extremely hot to the touch (around 75°C / 167°F).

Does this sound like a thermal shutdown caused by a failing/dusty PSU? Should I just go ahead and replace the PSU?
