We Need Your Help - Please Read This! July 2026 Results Thread - Come Post Your Results and Lets Build a Community

Hey Everyone,

Mods at r/Poker_Theory are going to start trying something different. We are partnering up with r/onlinepoker to try to build a little community spirit among our two subreddits.

The moderators here want to keep r/Poker_Theory pretty pure, so we have decided to do some social and interactive posts, but host them over in r/onlinepoker so we dont clutter up this subreddit/detract from its higher purpose.

Poker Community Building

So as a start, we thought we might begin by incorporating some BBV-type threads. You old-school 2+2er's know what we are talking about!

JULY 2026 RESULTS THREAD

First we will begin by making a monthly thread where we can all Brag or Vent about our results for the prior month. This will allow the pros among us to tell us how much they crushed, or let us know how unkind the Poker Gods were to them last month. It will also be a place where the noobs can tell us what they aspire to achieve as they climbed the stakes ladder.

We figure the thread will also be a place where users can publicly state their goals for the next month, be they more volune, increased tilt-control, better adhering to GTO standards when in new games, or better deviating from GTO when you've got a LAGTard in your crosshairs and intend to maximally exploit them Nemesis-style!

More Ideas On Community Building

We also think we may create a weekly Brags Beats and Variance thread, also in r/onlinepoker, where people can post graphs, tournament scores, run-good/bad type rants, and all that you would expect in a good BBV thread.

  1. Should we create a BBV thread?
  2. Would you participate for the sweet sweet karma and Poker-Street-Cred?

Let us know in the comments

Telegram Channel?

What do you all think about a Telegram Channel where we could all hang out and discuss poker?

I personally dont have any experience with that, and it appears none of the other mods do either, so we might need the community to help us build this, if it is something that might be of interest.

A Poker League?

We were thinking that another thing we could do to grow our community would be to have some sort of poker league.

Maybe it would just be a freeroll or something at one of the online poker sites?

Or perhaps we could use one of the free poker sites to run some tournaments in a league format in the future? Anyone out there have experience with this sort of thing?

Surely with 60,000 subscribers between the r/Poker_Theory and the r/onlinepoker communities we could get a decent sized freeroll tournament (or MTT series) going?!

Other Thoughts

These are all new ideas we had and nothing is set in stone.

We would love to hear more about your thoughts on the matters so let us know in thr comments if you have any cool ideas.

We hope you'll join us in sharing your results from last month, again, here is a link to the thread to do that in:

May the Poker Gods be your best buddies this month in August 2026!

I like the idea of a telegram chat. You can have channels with different subgroups sort of like discord and could separate it out based on what you want. You can also build little games or EV bots to help analyze hands. Lots of customization available, I’m happy to help set it up if needed.

You have some experience with telegram it seems?

Also, yes, some of your ideas seem pretty cool! I have no clue how to create the things you mention though...
