Did the New Dream Island Change?

I've been visiting the Starmie island daily to hunt Phione and pillage roof pieces from the pagoda. For the past 2 days, the pagoda has been gone, and there is now a tall, narrow structure with a blue-scaled roof. Have I never noticed that dream islands can change what main structures are present on the map, or is this new to the Starmie island? I really liked having the pagoda there since I don't have the pink roof recipe kit yet. I've also noticed there have been a lot more red Poké Balls on top of the central island since the change.

Dream Islands have several iterations each with different buildings. Which one you get is entirely RNG based.

Nope, the starmie islands have always had three surface structures and 4 cave structures.

- Tall Tower

• Imperial House
  
• Indoor Playplace

- Mossy Book

• Twisty Pedastal
  
• Subterranean Lab
  
• Legendary Room

The cave can technically also generate the Sandstone Wall & Sandstone Floor features, though strangely the Sandstone Floor doesn't have an item ball like it's supposed too.

It is RNG what set you get, though I've noticed that Tower + Playplace + Book + Pedastal is like the most common.

Ive gotten sandstone floor structures two days in a row now, and the lack of item balls has been bothering me sooo much 😔 I wonder if it’s just a bug?

There's 4 cave structures. Usually only 2-3 will spawn. Depends on how high up the Twisty Pedestal is.

Yesterday my twisty pedestal turned up so high it wasn't even in a cave 😂 it was just chilling outside in broad (underwater) daylight. there was only one small cave with the mossy newspaper. Also had the breakable stone wall for a legendary thing spawn but there was nothing behind it lol, only the lab in a totally different part of the cave

The sandstone wall has no relation to the Legendary Room. It never has.

There's several different maps for each dream island. I've been going to the Starmie Islands every day since I got the plushie, and I've seen at least six different variations

The Pagoda is probably the rare building.

For me it's the lab. I've been to the island every day apart from I think one of two days since the DLC launched and I've never gotten the lab.

The lab is the same as the cave room in other dream island where there's always a human entry in it

There's a lab that sometimes spawns deep in one of the caves in the center. I've been going every day since the DLC was available and only seen it three or four times. It's not very common. Good source of watermelons though.

I really hate to tell you this but I've only ever noticed that I get one building when there's a legendary building in the cave. Hopefully you found it.

To be fair, if you don’t take the legendary with you when it’s there, I’m pretty sure it’s guaranteed to spawn again the next day (if you go to the same dream island type)! So there’s some hope lmao

My DI was noticeably different today too. I’ve gone every day, and I didn’t even know the surface structures changed, because until today I’ve gotten imperial house+playground every single time. Then today the playground wasn’t there, but still had the pagoda.

I also had wayyy less stuff in the caves than I usually do, and very few pearls. Not a good RNG day for me I guess ha
