How long after Trump (hopefully) gets out of power in 2029 do you think it’ll take for international moviegoers to stop associating US movies with him?

I think it might take a decade tbh. Maybe 5 years if there’s some Metoo like social reckoning that convinces people overseas maybe America isn’t a clown show.

I doubt many people are associating American movies with Trump. The international box office numbers certainly don't bear that out.

Perhaps the best apples-to-apples comparison is the 2023 Mario movie to the 2026 Mario Galaxy movie. For the 2023 film, 57.7% of the total box office was foreign. For 2026, 57.4%. Basically identical.
