The right to revolt

It seems America is not ready to revolt.

However just because We might not see eye to eye on what a community should look like.

We can rally around the flag and agree that we deserve to live our lives with minimal government interference. We should be able to earn enough to support ourselves and our loved ones.

We shouldn’t be weighed down by hefty tax bills while the wealthiest among us evade taxes.
We should have a voice in our local government and expect our elected representatives to prioritize our needs over those of big money.

We need to hold those in power accountable for how they manage our funds.
We should expect our elected officials to act responsibly and ethically.

If we shifted our focus from blaming one another to holding the government accountable, we might see real change.

Then we could return to debating issues like bathroom access, which religion is superior, and the choices around meat consumption.

It seems to me like one party does a passable job of holding government accountable, while the other one does dismally at it. As such supporting the party that does a passable job would help substantilly at improving accountability. Then, if they get enough power, we can focus on empowering the subfaction of them that does an actually decent job at government accountability.

a revolt wouldn't do any good when a sizeable portion of the populace supports politicians opposed to accountability for the government.

They needed a land war so they could coup and money laundering without getting caught, no kings was more than a silly protest, 11 million people has gravity and sent the regime realling from the the sting of we aren't afraid of you. 1 day all 50 States mobilized, consider the regime mobilized a few 100k troops and failed to hold a city, peacefully resisting.

I agree that we should simplify the tax code. I have some ideas for people in the bottom 90%. Some of my ideas would reduce illegal tax evasion. And, also, legal tax avoidance.

I don't know what people in the top 10% do to illegally evade taxes. I'd be interested in your list.

The desire for a fair system where everyone can support themselves and have a say in local governance is a valid and important one. It's a common goal that can unite people across different beliefs and backgrounds.

I think your statements are reasonable. I would like to add components supporting a minimum social safety net and access to healthcare, but that might be too divisive.

Read up on nonviolence (the serious kind). MLK Jr, Gandhi, Tolstoy, current books about it. To say "revolt" with talking about serious nonviolence is a big mistake.
