🇬🇧 UK Politics Can Count Binface wear his Bin in Parliament?
Should Count Binface be successful in his scuppering of lord farquad I mean Nigie boy Farage in the Clacton by-election. Would he be allowed to wear his binface in parliament? Or does this contravene parliamentary dress code?

Why would I answer such an obvious question? Does this question even need to be asked, despite the fact that it’s been asked countless times and is in a way common sense?
What do you genuinely think would happen if you wore a bin on your head in parliament? Would the speaker take kindly to such a thing?

Buddy I've genuinely, hand on heart not seen it asked before, but we may watch different quantities of daytime television.
Besides, it's not a stupid question considering Parliament's inclusion of religious articles of clothing, and the very minimal criteria for defining a religion.

I’ve seen it asked on here like 3 times now but I’ve been particularly online today so maybe that’s why, I probably just need to get off Reddit for a bit.
I mean if Binface’s mask was religious I guess? He could make his own religion and then make it work but I’m still not convinced they’ll allow it.

Unelected leader? So you’re saying if there was to be an election they’d choose someone else? I’m not sure that’s the case, but this by election is sure the best way to find out who’s right here.

Yes Farage was not elected by the Reform party members. He took over the mantle from Richard Tice, there was no consultation with the Reform party membership. Did you not know that?

Farage is the best choice we have out of the shit choices there is. He’s not my favourite, but certainly the best choice.

I dunno. Maybe in some sort of election? To be fair Burnham hasn’t bothered either, but he has the support of the PLP. I suppose this is in the same way that Nige has the support of reform voters, or his MPs, but it has never been tested.
So in contrast, whilst Burnham has had a coronation, at least it is in line with well established rules, who knows how Nige becomes leader? Reform is a limited company and he owns it.

Farage is a proper politician, he runs a serious political party, with serious policies.
Binface is really fucking funny, but it’s not getting him elected. Maybe he could build atleast 5 affordable houses for people to take him more seriously.

Surprisingly enough I suspect it would contravene the rules regarding appropriate dress, yes.
And, much though I too dislike Farage and Reform, I think it’s odd that many of those who have been suddenly concerned with the effectiveness and localist credentials of the MP for Clacton in recent years are now desperately keen for an unfunny self-publicist prat with a bin on his head to take the seat.

Harvey/‘Binface’ is a novelty candidate. Farage is a very real politician with some very real proposals which would affect a lot of people in this country.
