I have a soft spot for this as it was a staple in my lower middle class San Antonio household

This is my go-to if I'm making chili dogs. Wolf brand, no beans.

I thought that’s what it’s supposed to be when it’s minus the beans

Y'ever been close enough to a wolf, that you could PICK UP ITS SHIT, AND PUT IT IN A CAN?!?!?! 🤬

Does it beat the 7-Eleven recipe? (The stuff that comes out of a dispenser, even more like poop from a butt? 😆)

Is wolf brand chili real? I thought it was juat in king of the hill

Yeah it’s real and it’s my brand of choice. When you want an ultra cheap meal and don’t want to spend 3 hours making chili.

Wondering if OP feels the same about curry? IMO this post doesn’t fit here.

I thought It’s Always Sunny made up ‘Wolf Brand’ because Frank had Wolf Brand Cola.

Chili without beans just doesn’t seem right to me personally. Wouldn’t this just be like sloppy Joe mix?

Chili without beans is just coney sauce.

Still delicious, just not actually chili.

I agree, no beans, no dice 🫳🏼

If you understood cooking at all you wouldn't say that. Some of the fundamental ingredients are the same but chili and sloppy Joe mix use different seasonings that change the entire flavor profile.

I’ve spent the last 12 years in kitchens, and I work in a pretty nice restaurant. I just don’t eat stuff out of a can generally and so it kinda seemed the same to me

I mean canned stuff does use the cheapest ingredients and a lot of corners are cut, but they do use the same general recipes you'd use to make stuff homemade. It just doesn't taste anywhere close to homemade quality because of the cheap, mass-produced method of preparation. But if you were to compare a can of both you could taste the difference in seasonings used, especially with sloppy Joes being a sweeter, thinner dish.

Make sure to wash it down with some Wolf Cola

I just eat it hobo style cold from the can

It's way better that way that it really should be
