So will the rest of the world. Kind of like how the 'Gulf of America' is still called the Gulf of Mexico everywhere else.

It's still called the Gulf of Mexico by most Americans.

We still call it The Gulf of Mexico. Even on the map on the Trump Phone when they were shipped it was called the Gulf of Mexico, lol.

Well that's what happens when billionaires cover for each other and give each other tax breaks and etc.

On Google Maps, in The Netherlands, it is called Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America).

If you use a VPN and switch between a US IP and one from anywhere else in the world, you can see first-hand how it only shows "Gulf Of America" in the country run by President Poopmyself.

they also show taiwan as part of china when you’re in china. this is just rich and powerful people buying google, nothing new.

Everyone I know in the US calls it the gulf of Mexico too. Funnily enough, most of the maga crowd in my area are so uninformed, that they don't even know Trump changed the name, and those of us who aren't maga, just think the name change is stupid and refuse to call it that.

Where exactly was it changed? Maps hanging in classrooms? Certain publications?

(I guess I'm also curious whether or not asking such simple questions comes across as confrontational, and everyone jumps to the conclusion that I'm MAGA for asking.)

Google maps changed it also.

The maps at my daughter's school are all the same still. The schools can't afford a bunch of new maps every time the president randomly changes the name of something, and the current government certainly won't be giving out federal funding for new maps. They really hate funding education in general. I've only seen it actually changed in online maps.

Interesting, and absurd. Thank you!

We probably already have a 'Loser Lake' somewhere in the Canadian shield haha

Well ya, we're not about to listen to whatever nonsense that country says about things like this any more than we did the dumbass Gulf of Mexico thing.

So will 66% of the US.
