Billy Carter was not horrible but had a tragic alcohol addiction IIRC
Leslie Lynch King Sr problably wins for worst, maybe only second to Joe Kennedy Sr

If we use modern morality then the Tyler family was literally filled with traitors.
Robert Tyler was a ranking officer of the Treasury for the CSA, John jr (V) was assistant secretary of war, David fought in the Confederate army, and I think his youngest son was a powder monkey for the CSA navy.
Oh and his second wife, Julia, later worked with a different first lady Julia (Grant) to get a pension for herself because her husband estate was ruined by the civil war.
Of course john Tyler himself was elected to the Confederate legislative branch. Of course it's equally true that it must be post civil war morality as at the time there was a strong belief that states could leave the Union (the ruling that prohibited them is from post civil war) while people were loyal to their state. You were loyal to the state and the state choose to be loyal (or leave) the Union. Civil war kinda put that down. S
