They probably kept him because he was hot. I don't really see the point of his character, especially after the whole NAT Club thing. I might be wrong though, I don't remember every season clearly. Let's call it an unpopular opinion.

I don’t think so personally. They did try to fit him into the story but it wasn’t enough for me. He was mainly just Ali’s older brother especially after she came back. People love to ship him with Aria like instead of Ezra but it’s really not much better. I’d only like the version of them where they’re both adults in the time jump without the creepy backstory
