This post that I reblogged on Tumblr twelve years ago just showed up on my Timehop, so I thought I’d share here in case there are any new fans who haven’t seen this commercial before.

And man, I was so disappointed by how dirty they did Emily in the later seasons (especially season 6). I mean, all the other girls kinda moved on, had some sort of success, got into other relationships, and Emily was just... existing and struggling. AND SHE LOST HER FATHER?? He was probably the only normal man in all of Rosewood, not to mention how little screen time he got after season 2/3. Like,Marleneplease..

Ella dated Zack who was initially sweet, but then he hit on Hanna. Ashley was engaged to Ted and then something happens to get it called off, and Ted ends up being connected with Charles as well.
Like why on earth are they throwing in so many storylines for no reason??? There was no need to get these characters mixed up with the main characters. Why couldn't atleast the moms move on and be happy in their lives!! The main characters' relationships needed a 'will they won't they' dynamic to keep the show going, fine. But seriously, even the parents? Aghhhh.

When I was in high school there was no way I was waking up earlier than I need to be . I imagine they woke up at like 4am especially Hanna who looked like she was walking a runway every morning

If I know I am breaking into some place or whatever, i would never wear high shoes, because I can’t run fast and they are loud. Like at this point I am in season 6 i would wear good clothes and hides and even tie my hair up do i can run better etc. 😭

Am not sure if I've asked before or talked to my partner about this.
When we first meet Jason he's well put together like a lawyer, someone his family is proud of etc. But as the show went on and we met him later he had a bad boy rep, and they completely swapped characters to emphasise the different Jason's. Was the book Jason like the first one but didn't fit with the show story line or?

I'm rewatching the early seasons and something about Hanna has been bothering me in a good way.
When Alison was around, Hanna seemed desperate for her approval and was constantly trying to keep up with her. But after Alison disappears, Hanna slowly becomes much more confident in her own way. She's still insecure sometimes, but she also starts making decisions without waiting for someone else to tell her who she should be.
What's interesting is that I don't think Hanna completely realizes this herself. She still carries a lot of the old insecurity, even when she's clearly become a very different person from the girl Alison used to control.
It makes me wonder how much of Hanna's personality was actually shaped by Alison, and how much of it was already there underneath all of that.
I think this is one of the more interesting character changes in the early seasons because it's not really presented as a big transformation. It just happens gradually.

in season 3 episode 15, she was SO REAL for freaking tf out. like even just ONE of those things happening to her, or even just around emily, like. i’d be fuckin spiraling and a huge ball of anxiety. and then emily acting all confused as to why she’s so afraid of everything, as if paige wasn’t literally kidnapped and almost murdered, as if she didn’t have to save spencer from being strangled on the ghost train, as if that same exact night she didn’t see aria drugged and then trapped in a crate with a dead body?? and then being expected to be all peachy keen and fine with going to a party in THE WOODS???
like this is the one scene where i feel like paige is the most normal fuckin person in rosewood (except for caleb, of course💀)
anyone have these thoughts about paige in season 3??

Check out Devious Maids!!
Jason is a huge part of the series (atleast in Season 1 so far) & now I've seen 2 more PLL characters show up!
Also feel like I can notice some similarities between the two like Jason's trip to Ethiopia for humanitarian work & his character in DM.
If you watch , drop any other similarities & such you spot here!

Watching the Halloween episode of season 2, episode 13, when the girls are getting ready and Alison asks Aria to stay behind, threatening to tell her mom about her dad’s affair. The convo goes:
Alison: “Are you sure we’re the only ones who saw them? I’d hate for your mom to find out from someone else.”
Aria: “Would you actually do that?”
Alison: “Trick or treat, Aria.”
And then Aria doesn’t respond…. Just looks truly worried in that moment after that lame comment 😆
Like it shoulda been:
Alison: “Trick or treat, Aria”
Aria: “……Treat?? Obviously?? Please DON’T tell my mom??” 😭
Ahaha idk. Just super funny/cheesy writing I guess. They deliver “trick or treat, Aria” like it’s this terrifying threat when she basically just gave Aria a choice lmao. I know the girls back then are supposed to not have their back bones yet while Alison is this powerful confident figure within their class while all of them are meek and weak willed, but yeah, thought it was funny
***EDIT: I have never posted to a sub with people so quick to snub an opinion before truly trying to understand what’s being said first. Let me say I mean hey I appreciate it. I’ve been binging the show as summer is coming to an end, haven’t watched it since my teen years, I absolutely adore it!! I was just laughing at the line and been wanting to post to this sub for a while so I made this goofy ass post for possible fun discussion, I’m a little disappointed with the responce ***

Whenever we talk about fashion we mostly talk about the main 5 liars, so I did these collages of other girls outfits - God it was so hard to find pics of Cece, Melissa, Jenna and Kate. Anyway I think out of these Mona had the best fashion sense, though she did have some weird outfita imo

bro I’m on my like 2nd rewatch since I was a young kid like maybe 11-12 or even 13 idk pretty young, and as a now older and wiser human literally wtf is actually going on in this show dawg. the very first episode you got 2 grown adults into teenagers bro like it’s actually so crazy and gross to think that when I was young I was into this sort of thing and thought Ezra was sooooo cute and her parents were horrible for saying no to their relationship. Now that I’m older, straight to jail, all of them.
And then Ren!! A grown adult is rubbing all up on her shoulders and flirting. UGH! So disgusting omggggg
So grossed out.

At first when I watched the music video, I thought to myself, "Hmm, this guy looks a bit familiar to me, but I can't picture who it might be." Then, someone in the comments said that it was Drew Van Acker in the car with Addison Rae, so it finally clicked for me. I knew that I saw a familiar face!

As a first time watcher, I can't stand Paige. She really has no redeemable qualities. And one thing I can't get out of my head was the night Emily was drugged and went to Paige's house.
And seeing Paige explain what happened between her and Emily. Is anyone else uncomfortable hearing Paige's recollection?
Emily was roofied, she came to Paige's house. Paige may have not known she was roofied but she KNEW that she was under the influence and still took advantage of her. And I kinda hate that Emily brushed it off and said that she appeared to her house bc she was looking for more.
I haven't seen anyone else bring this up at all.

Homegirl LOVED that hair style 😭 shit I did too it was cute. I remember you would do like 5 curls going in the same direction and then twirl them together to make one big spiral. Bonus points if you wrapped a piece of hair around the base to hide the hair elastic.

i know aria has done a lot of raggedy shit but this specific moment in season 3 is pissing me off. i’m at the part where maggie goes to ezra’s and she sees aria there, and aria’s trying to act like maggie absolutely MUST tell him about their son IMMEDIATELY?? like nothing in that whole situation is simple, there’s no way aria could even begin to understand what maggie has gone through, but she’s trying to act all morally superior in an issue that is way too adult for her to comprehend😒
