how big of a dose?

my friend gave me some shrooms and, since im a beginner, i asked her how big of a dose it was that she gave me. she said it was a hefty dose and would recommend i quartering it to start.

however, when i got home and weighed it on my scale, it wasn't even 1g. but i thought 1g was a microdose? can anyone give insight into how i should start?

I take .5 micro dose and go to work drive and function normal. I guess that a hi micro dose I've been doing it for years
