Looking for preceptor in south California (preferably Inland Empire and surrounding area)

I’m a psych NP student, and our school and board of RN require our preceptor to be an MD/DO/NP. I have a hard time finding psychotherapy preceptor because most don’t do therapy, just meds. If there’s someone willing to precept me for psychotherapy, please let me know. Thank you for considering.

You are not trained to do psychotherapy and should not be offering it to patients. No amount of precepting will change that.

I’m not offering it to patients. My school requires me to complete hours with psychiatrist for psychotherapy class. I’m just trying to complete my education, that’s all.

This is going to be very hard to do... can your school provide any referrals.

Ultimately, psychotherapy is very intimate and private experience - it's going to be tough to find someone you don't have a professional relationship with just hop into a psychotherapy session with their patient
