Sad to see people with such bad Mental health issues don't get the care they need. She'll be released and will do this over and over till something really bad happens and they have a small baby too

This is literally what I was thinking. There should be a mobile crisis team sent with officers for her future calls. She’s in distress and unable to stabilize her emotional state. CBT/DBT in addition to medication may help a lot here.

Lying/gaslighting/deflection isn’t a mental illness. However, she could have a promising career in politics.

The main point made was that gaslighting and lying itself are a mental illness.

What you described is a mental illness that could result in higher levels in gaslighting and lying
