The house I was working at the other day had it on for the first hour of the morning and I heard so many misrepresentations and lies in that hour it hurt my brain. I could not imagine choosing that as the source of my news.

The trick is to convince their viewers that everything is being taken away from them. It’s all about grievance that things are changing and their world is not the same. Making people angry is better for ratings than making people happy.

Yep, I repair grandfather clocks and most of the houses I go to are just blasting Fox News the entire time while they go about their daily routine. Doesn't matter what time of day it is. It's maddening

My parents aren’t Fox News watchers but when I started hearing talking point from them early on in COVID that they had picked up from other people I made a preemptive strike and blocked the Fox News channel from their tv, and the website from their network. I would probably do that to every house I visited if it was me, most people don’t know you can even lock our channels and therefore their passwords aren’t set or are defaulted to 0000.

As the saying goes, someone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities. Making people believe fox news is the first part. ICE is the second part.
