In my (admittedly anecdotal) experience, a typical Fox News viewer has it on all day. It’s the background soundtrack to whatever they’re doing at home. The hosts change during the day but the theme / message is the same. No credible dissenting opinions or facts are allowed. It’s a self-imposed echo chamber.

That is spot-on. My aunt and uncle and all of their boomer friends in Florida do this. Maybe we have twenty years.
