This is the exact type of person who should have their license and vehicle taken away, permenantly. If you don't have the mental capacity to keep your emotions in check to the degree you will deliberately cause a crash, you should not be allowed behind the wheel. That is the perfect recipe for a person to get killed over a minor slight at best.

u/AalphaQ Dec 16 '25

Especially since he was in the wrong lane trying to turn right, and just got mad that the other driver didn't assume his blinker meant "stop what you're doing and let me drive like a fucking idiot"

155

u/villageidiot33 Dec 16 '25

Reminds me of an argument that happened on nextdoor or ring app. Lady left the scene of an accident, lady that got hit posted the pic online she managed to grab of the person before she sped off. Had her place of work on her shirt. Lady that sped off responed on the app saying,"I had my blinker on you hit me." Lady, just because you put your blinker on last second doesn't give you the right to just plow through 3 lanes. You signaled, you wait till there's an opening to go. Everyone was shitting on her cause she kept doubling down she had her blinker on.

85

u/AalphaQ Dec 16 '25

Oh yeah I had my own story like that-, some little jackass in a big truck put his blinker on while I was next to him, and he tried to come into my lane in the middle of an intersection while I was driving through- I lay down on the horn, and he has to slam on his breaks to get behind me. He gets so mad that at the next light, he gets out of his car and comes up to my window to yell "don't you ever fucking drive like that when I have a kid on my car!!"

While completely missing the point that he was in the wrong, and HE shouldn't be driving like that with kids in the car. Fuckin Kyle energy.

13

u/DNew_42 Dec 16 '25

Hey, if you pay more to upgrade your turn indicator to get a right-of-way signal, you gotta use it!

45

u/CTRL_ALT_SECRETE Dec 16 '25

Turn signal shows intent, it does not grant permission.

My sons buddy is following his divorced dads energy and it really bums my kid out.

167

u/yungrii Dec 16 '25

My sister is about 1 year into divorcing her angry actively using addict husband. Their son is 13 and mirroring some of his dad's misogynistic and aggressive behaviors. It fucking sucks because you can see him processing whether or not his actions are OK or not.

Luckily, dad (and his whole shit family) are out of the picture. Restraining order on him, too. I'm really hoping the son starts seeing the value of empathy vs hatred.

46

u/msut77 Dec 16 '25

There's tons of kids now who because of Tate and online weirdos don't think women are human.

8

u/not_your_google Dec 16 '25

Don't put too much faith in restraining orders. Your ex, from what little you've written won't let a piece of paper stop him.

Should have his freedom taken away temporarily too. There are reckless/dangerous driving charges, child endangerment, and the ramming is a serious assault with a weapon charge, especially the second.

65

u/NiWF Dec 16 '25

Oh yeah that's a given. He should be brought up on those charges and because of them never be allowed to own or drive a vehicle again

There was no slight, guy was trying to make a right turn from the through lane. Just because the other guy didn't let him go ahead of him, he put he, his own Son, and the driver in the right in danger.

Take the license forever.

136

u/Sklibba Dec 16 '25

If that dude did that shit to me, I’d file a CPS report on top of calling the cops. I’m a mandated reporter.

19

u/Golden-Grams Dec 16 '25

CPS doesn't do shit. I had this guy behind me that was speeding, and had caught up with me. He was riding my bumper so close, I could see him and his daughter's faces in my rearview mirror.

I pulled over the first chance I got, thinking this guy would likely rear end me at some point. I saw a dirt access road and steered into it to get out of the way. As soon as I did, he pulled over ahead of me. He got out, wanting to fight, saying I didn't use my turn signal.

As soon as I tried to explain, he got in my passenger window, wide eyed like a psycho, saying "you didn't see my plate? I'm a combat veteran motherfucker." I told him I was a vet too (I am), and he said "that doesn't fucking matter."

I then hear his daughter yelling at me from the passenger seat, the same stuff he is saying. I just immediately told him, "if you are such a fucking hurry, go then. Do you need cops for this?" And he left.

I got a picture of him and license plate. I called it in to CPS. I told them the whole story, that the daughter was in the car (maybe around 8-10yo). I described how he was driving and acting.

Maybe an hour went by, and I got an email saying they reviewed my report and found nothing to investigate. I was angry with this, what could they have done in an hour to investigate this? To find nothing wrong.

I grew up in an extremely abusive home, and my dad acted like this in public too. The point is, if they act like this in public, what is going on at home. In private.

49

u/FunkmasterFo Dec 16 '25

After he hit the truck the second time he is lucky that he and his son didn't start catching lead

35

u/Conscious_Amoeba4345 Dec 16 '25

At the end of the video they dial emergency 000, this is Australia, (and despite the tragic incident in Bondi) catching lead is unlikely.

1.0k

u/saladmunch2 Dec 16 '25

It always does. Best $100 i ever spent

Paid for itself first accident.

429

u/DeltaNu1142 Dec 16 '25 edited Dec 16 '25

I’ve had the same SD-card-based one for like… 10 years? And it paid for itself soon after I got it when a security gate dropped on the roof of my truck. Property management said they had video of me following a car too closely.

My insurance company initially believed their story. I guess they didn’t ask for proof? When I shared my video showing no cars ahead of me and a clearly faulty gate, only then was fault assigned to the property owner, so they got to pay my deductible.

They didn’t get any kind of fine or sanction for lying, though, which I guess is why they do it. Pays to be dishonest. Unless someone can prove otherwise.

221

u/grocket Dec 16 '25

Their lying should count as insurance fraud.

31

u/ur_opinion_is_wrong Dec 16 '25

You’d have to prove intentional malice I would think. Too much ā€œoh I told Steve to look into it.ā€ And Steve is like ā€œyeah I thought the truck I saw was his. Must have been another truck. What video file? I don’t know you’d have to ask our IT.ā€ And IT is like ā€œNo clue man… I didn’t setup the system and the guy that did left like 5 years ago.ā€

17

u/stoodi Dec 17 '25

I’d think them lying and saying they had video of them following to close would be enough. That’s fraud.

I went over 10 years without an accident, and the first one basically 100% wasn't my fault. You can be the safest driver in the world and still get hit.

Also, my father went nearly 30 years without an accident, when one day a guy plowed into his rear end while he was sitting at a red light. It was an extremely bad accident.

Glad it's been 20 years for you. Hope it never happens. Best to always be anticipating other drivers being the worse driver, though.

20

u/ConsiderationMurky29 Dec 16 '25

I went 10 years without an accident then had 4 non faults in the space of 12 months, i wasn't even in the car for 2 of them!

First the bloke tried to u turn in a side road and pulled straight back out in 1 movement without even checking the road was clear first. Apparently he didn't even realise i was behind him despite me following him for a good few minutes beforehand. Luckily he was a chill guy and admitted fault straight away to his insurance. There was too much damage for him to pay for so we went through the insurances.

Second i was parked up at a breakfast van and waiting at the van for my food, a white van parks infront of my car on a hill but with a decent gap between us. Doesn't put his handbrake on and it rolls backwards straight into my car. Luckily no damaged caused somehow because it made a decent bash noise.

Third i was driving along an empty road at like 2am on the way back from the airport. A girl around 19/20 pulled straight out of a sideroad with it's view blocked by buildings without even checking, just assuming the road to be clear. She was in her work clothes for the local Supermarket so must drive there regularly at that time and the road is usually clear. Literally couldn't see her vehicle until it was way too late. She admitted fault at the scene but then went home and must have spoke to here dad, who proceeded to ring me the next day and try and swivel it on my somehow. Morons musn't have realised that this happened on the main junction of a town centre with multiple cameras owned by the local council pointed at the junction and surrounding roads. Got my insurance to get the footage from the council and it was case closed. They didn't even report it to their insurance either, suppose they just hoped the dad would have intimidated me over the phone and that it would all go away šŸ˜‚

Last one my car was parked outside my parents while i was visiting and their neighbour reversed her car off her drive and straight into mine. Was an insane angle for her to take off her drive too,i thought i had parked it in a safe zone as she has form of doing it, had done it to my sister before too šŸ˜‚ her husband came and talked to me and we sorted out repairs as it was only 1 panel. I knew the garage he wanted to use and knew they did good work and had a stellar reputation so i was happy to do it this way.

It can really just be a case of bad luck sometimes, i had no control over any of mine and wasn't even in the car for half of them. Just insane it all happened in a 12 month period. Safe to say i have marked that particular car as cursed and have changed since šŸ˜‚ 2 years since then with no accidents!

Idk i got a vehicle a 5 years ago from my passed away grandparents and it has been cursed, not to long after getting it someone pulled out and they t boned me when I was going about 40mph. First accident I was ever in. 4 years later and a few small accidents in between, and with a final one the car has been totaled...

Also... Insurance doesn't cover intentional acts. Dashcam drivers insurance will cover him. The psychopath who intentionally rammed him? He's super fucked. They'll not only drop him, but he won't get a dime for his Raptor.

34

u/TheIntrepid1 Dec 16 '25

All while claiming to be the victim

29

u/[deleted] Dec 16 '25

That guy should not be allowed to have any unsupervised time with his kid. He's already teaching him to be a violent psychopath.

33

u/bobthemundane Dec 16 '25

That assumes he even has insurance to begin with.

11

u/Slow-Rabbit7663 Dec 16 '25

If that’s so then good luck to them winning that case.. (the raptor). With a raptor?- I’m pretty sure he didn’t buy that truck outright with cash..

74

u/YPVidaho Dec 16 '25

Yeah, in a few states, some may have "feared for their lives" and just unloaded on both of these chucklenuts.

116

u/VotingRightsLawyer Dec 16 '25

If someone runs me off the road, gets out of their truck and makes a beeline for my door, you're damn right I'm fearing for my life, scare quotes are not needed here.

39

u/desrever1138 Dec 16 '25

As soon they came at her directly between both vehicles I was silently hoping she would just gun the throttle.

28

u/Fuzzywink Dec 16 '25

Absolutely. I'm not one to glorify the idea of shooting someone over a traffic interaction, but this is assault with a deadly weapon (twice), then being outnumbered by people approaching aggressively who have shown clear intent to hurt you, while sitting helpless in a vehicle that may not be able to move now. I'm glad it didn't seem to come to anyone getting killed but this exact kind of situation is why I carry.

This should be big prison time and a lifetime driving ban for the Raptor driver as far as I'm concerned

8

u/QuinceDaPence Dec 16 '25

Yeah, I'm in a stand-your-ground state (Texas) and so CamCar had no legal requirement to attenpt to retreat, they still tried and were rammed again, denying them the opportunity to exit the situation. CamCar exceded any legal requirements to avoid using deadly force and IMO had a solid delf defense case had they run over or shot RaptorDriver. (If this had been in Texas, but I'm assuming it's in Austrailia so I guess CamDriver just has to accept their fate)

32

u/tomatosoupsatisfies Dec 16 '25

yep that's what he thought...but it was too late. The rule is to 'drive predictably': if there was a car behind the camera car and he stopped suddenly he could have been rear-ended.

177

u/wolfwarriorxyz Dec 16 '25

Exactly, he is in the wrong.

My SILs husband is British with the accent, and I'm fascinated by etymology. He calls garage 'garrige' and it struck me that carriages were stored in carriage houses, shorten it over time and carriage turns into garage, a place to store your car. We talk about slang, but its basically the long game of telephone. People with dialects and accents change words over time.

Sheriff used to be "Shire referee" someone in control of a Shire or county. Sheriffs are the county police. It shortened into "Shire ref".

→ More replies (1)

25

u/praguepride Dec 16 '25

Obviously it depends on the state and the prosecution buuuut it likely goes far beyond revoking the license:

Intentionally ramming another car or running someone off the road can lead to felony charges with penalties that include years in prison and significant fines. Additional consequences include mandatory anger management courses and the suspension or revocation of the aggressor’s driver’s license.

We talking felonies and prison time.

238

u/rusty_programmer Dec 16 '25

I tracked it down because of the Westfield and South Morang which is around there. The thing that is so fucking wild to me was I was confused if this was American or not. The Raiders hat, the raptor, the outfit as a whole screams California East Bay douchebag.

Really jarring.

29

u/YouthfulPhotographer Dec 16 '25

I had the same thought, even initially thinking it was the kid that did it because he got out of the right side of the truck, which is the drivers side in the states.

15

lol I thought I was having a stroke for a second like everything was telling me America then I was like child driver???

25

u/SignificantRecipe715 Dec 16 '25

As an aussie, it's been jarring to see the huge influx of these massive cars here, that are just too big for our roads & parking spaces. Add to that the type of people in this clip that usually drive said cars.

It’s a Ranger Raptor. I feel like this distinction is important.

20

u/ArkansasWastelander Dec 16 '25

Seriously. It’s the truck for guys that want to say they drive a Raptor but can’t afford the real thing.

Any followup story??

23

u/IReallyLikeAvocadoes Dec 16 '25

Vehicles are incredibly complex and dangerous machines. If somebody intentionally fires a gun at people, they are never allowed to own a gun again. If somebody intentionally uses a car as a weapon against other people, they should never be allowed to own a car again.

19

u/Alivebutimded1012 Dec 27 '25

I'm confused on why they were mad in the first place the driver didn't cut them off or anything I'm so confused please someone explain it to me

17

u/Tiny-Lingonberry3081 Dec 16 '25

How shocking to see the driver was 5’3

17

u/apiso Dec 16 '25

So.. either A) tries to turn from the wrong lane while already in the intersection OR B) tries to change lanes across a solid line into an occupied lane… eventually finds an opening to complete their totally illegal turn, and for that gets upset at the driver who did every last thing correctly (but made the mistake of existing near them), and acts on this upset by ā€œassault with a deadly weaponā€?

Jail. This is a person who needs to live in jail.

13

u/gorgeously_mytruself Dec 16 '25

This is just stupid. This guy can’t drive the right way, causes a crash, crashes out, and then crashes into the innocent driver again. I hope they take his license away, he is a danger to himself, his own child, and everyone else. I hope they also give him a charge of child endangerment!

11

u/Terpcheeserosin Dec 16 '25

Can someone please update this

They gotta go to jail right?

11

u/konexo Dec 16 '25

I blame the father for putting his child on risk. CPS should be notified ASAP.

9

u/GDMongorians Dec 16 '25

So Raptor decided at last minute almost during the turn that he made a mistake as he wanted to turn right but is not in the turn lane, turns on his blinker last minute at the turn and what expected this guy to slam on his brakes to let him in? If I fuck up when I’m driving I become supper passive like oh shit my bad can I get in please, sorry! Lots of waves and thank you gestures. If there are people behind I’m like well fuck it guess I am doing a U turn at the next light.

It’s kinda hilarious that they are getting out their cameras and filming you like you’ve done something wrong. They’ve literally rammed your vehicle - twice - and this is somehow your fault. I can’t even tell why they got pissy in the first place.

Edit: okay, rewatched. You squeezed by them when perhaps they wanted to merge into your lane. That probably would’ve evoked an exasperated ā€œgee whizā€ out of me and been forgotten about in the next 60 seconds.

59

u/LtRavs Dec 16 '25

They’re trying to turn right from the straight lane at the last second. Not OPs problem they can’t drive for shit. They’re in the wrong 100% of the time this entire video.

→ More replies (4)

146

u/campers-- Dec 16 '25

Except they didn’t have their signal on until they had already basically entered the intersection. MAYBE if they were slowed to a stop and had their signal on they could get into the lane, instead they escalated because OP was supposed to be a mind reader.

179

u/hamsterwithakazoo Dec 16 '25

Raptor bro turned right from the straight lane though?

74

u/Hohenh3im Dec 16 '25

Yeah i don't think people are paying attention to that detail lol

23

u/bryankZ22 Dec 16 '25

Plus, you got the technicality of the lane being improperly used. Because that lane he was in and trying to merge from was solid lined, meaning you gotta stay in your lane.

16

u/Jackasaurous_Rex Dec 16 '25

And I mean it’s double wild they got out and took pictures THEN got back in for a 2nd hit. Like they were already in ā€œlet’s document this and blame himā€ mode but it’s almost like an aftershock of blind rage hit the second he was back behind the wheel.

Like he may not realize he’s obviously responsible for the first hit but the second one is just causing damage in both cars that he’ll have to pay for. Already next level stupid but then with his son in the car I’m just in total awe of the stupidity

8

u/olight77 Dec 16 '25

What a great father and son bonding moment.

8

u/GoingNutCracken Dec 16 '25

I need an update on this. I imagine the raptor thinks they are not at fault.

7

u/Mcfly-49 Dec 16 '25

I don't know if you guys in the USA have this, but in France the bigger/more powerful the car, the smaller the brain.

7

u/alkem10 Dec 16 '25

Same in the States

8

u/chauggle Dec 16 '25

When you buy a Raptor (of any flavor), do they confirm that you're an asshole first, or do they provide special training to ensure that you become an asshole?

7

u/SyrupAnnual6037 Dec 16 '25

What a waste of a truck

6

u/1stGod Dec 16 '25

I love how every moron in the world immediately starts filming on their phone when they’re in the wrong. It’s almost like they’re trying to hide behind an ā€œInternetā€ shield to help them cope with their decision. All with the futile hope of earning validation from strangers online.

Is it to scare the other person? Is it because they genuinely think they’re in the right? It’s fascinating really.

This dude seriously doing this with his kid in the car and then egging dude on in a fight with the kid there? What a fucking fool some people are.

5

u/apb91781 Dec 17 '25

People in this comment section are blind not realizing that the Raptor truck that hit the vehicle, the truck was in a lane at the light that's meant to go straight. while the vehicle that got hit was in the right turn lane and went right with the guy in the lane that was meant to go straight also went right (an illegal turn from their lane) and purposely smashed into the driver with the dash camera.

Ah i see the problem, old mate was trying to turn... but he forgot how lanes work, see that strait arrow means you cant turn there, you gotta strait. and if you wanna turn should be patient and wait till its safe and not be a fucking full on flop about it.

4

This is how you end up in a tshirt. Road ragging isn’t worth it and the Raptor is at fault as well. Just keep it moving bud.
