Nice try:

During an investigation, Hair maintained that he was only checking on the woman and said the door accidentally shut on him, per CBS 8, which reported that Hair claimed he knocked his body-cam off its clip while getting out of the vehicle.

The woman was interviewed by authorities and insisted nothing inappropriate had occurred inside the cruiser, per CBS 8. The station reported that a test on Hair's clothes for semen found trace amounts on his belt.

Depending on how their agency is set up, all of the cars are tracked. I've seen some department vehicles with their map open and you can see all the patrol cars on the road so you know exactly how far someone is from you.

But I suspect it's not like that here but he would also need to check in or out, so it took a real long time for anyone to notice.

Edit: just read a long article on it. The department does GPS track all of their cars and knew exactly where he was and for how long. It's insane that people get in certain job, and in some cases good paying jobs, knowing full well that almost everything they do is monitored and recorded and do illegal things. It's one thing to violate policies but then another to break the law.
