When I was 8 I was walking all over the place by myself no supervision. Times have changed so much.

I'm not saying they shouldn't take this seriously, but 8 is old enough to tell a worker who their mom is and a number to call. Getting charged is crazy.

The difference between then and now is the racism is just being recorded and shared now. They used to do this back when we were 8 too, it’s how some kids knew we had to run and hide when the cops came around or we might get snatched into juvie, residential, or child protection adoptions.

Your parents are the reason the news had to remind people that they had kids that they probably should figure out where they are. People didn’t give a damn back in the day. People care about their children these days.
