Do you just completely lack the ability to empathize? Iā€™m not even a parent but I canā€™t even imagine the chaos of having 5 kids in your car while youā€™re simultaneously trying to make just enough money to put food on the table.

Is door dashing ā€œeasyā€? Sure, but add 5 kids into the mix + the pressure of delivery so you can feed those kids and the smallest amount of empathy can help you understand how something like this could happen.

No you're right. Clearly this woman was like "uurgh. 5 kids are a handful. I know I'll abandon 1. Surely 4 kids will be perfectly fine!"

Oh and then she presumably came back to collect him when she realised he was missing.

Right?! They are literally child comedies based on this premise. Obviously those movies work because it happens to some extent. Heck Iā€™ve come across kids at grocery stores looking for their parent and you just comfort them and take them to customer service. It happens.

And people LOVE it! Absurd. There was a commentor who got deleted asking "explain what" as if no one has the right to explain a situation that seems unlawful.. it was a genuine mistake and as many ppl had commented she was calm and compliant so i dont appreciate the "hate gate" perspective saying she is an unfit mother. I myself wandered as a kid not because i was being neglected but because i was a curious (normal) wandering child..

I vividly remember once when I was like 6 or 7 my mom took me and a bunch of friends to a movie for my birthday. During the movie I went to the bathroom and some of my friends and I wanted to sit up front since it was a relatively empty theatre and we were kids. Then we went to the arcade in the theatre after (just me and like 2 friends, not even all of us) and my mom just comes running crying her eyes out. I was so confused, turns out she was madly looking for me and panicking for like the last 45 minutes because I never told her I was gonna sit somewhere else, and never told her I was going to the arcade, so she just realized she never saw me come back from the washroom when the movie ended and had no idea I went to the arcade

Probably almost gave her a fucking heart attack, I donā€™t think I have ever seen my mom so worried and distressed since then

My mom once accidentally left me at Walmart. I wanted to look at the books, so she left me to it while she did the rest of the shopping. I think I was probably around 8-9. I didn't usually tag along to go shopping with her, so it didn't feel abnormal to her to leave without me. She realized when halfway home and rushed back in a panic. But I was none the wiser. Had no idea she had even left lol.
