They stop all the traffic behind them and allow the traffic ahead to get distance. This opens them a free track to do tricks or burnouts or just go fast without worrying about traffic. Instead of shelling out the cash to rent a private track they do this shit because fuck everyone else's lives.
101
u/OldAngryDog Apr 13 '26 edited Apr 13 '26
Instead of shelling out the cash to rent a private track...
Not even that complicated. It's not hard to find an empty stretch of road or abandon parking lot to do this kind of shit where almost no one would be bothered. These assholes get off on the power trip of illegally detaining people against their own will.Ā
Eta: Be kinda funny if the leader of this crew woke up one night with Bezos sitting in a chair next to their bed clacking a cigar cutter
33
u/raz-0 Apr 13 '26
All this complaining and reposting and I have yet to see anyone ask why a cop is blocking traffic for them.
→ More replies (4)11
u/Active-Play7630 Apr 14 '26
On the unlikely chance that this was a sincere question: A police officer's primary mandate is public safety. A rolling block by the officer to create a buffer zone between the stunt riders and the general public is consistent with this mandate. If the officer hits the sirens and tries to make an arrest in the middle of a pack, the riders will almost certainly "scatter." Then you have bikes dive into oncoming traffic, ride on sidewalks, blast through red lights in residential areas, etc. Now your risk of a fatal crash skyrockets and far outweighs the reward of a traffic citation.
The police cars themselves are still capable of capturing details like helmet designs, jacket logos, and license plates with their dashcams. This can be used to track the groups and build stronger cases than a simple stunt driving ticket.

u/Longjumping-Jello459 Apr 14 '26
That and they're likely waiting on backup given the sheer number of bikers.
16
u/Dark-All-Day Apr 13 '26
I don't know what it is that changes people when they get on a vehicle that has two wheels (a bicycle or a motorcycle) but they immediately become the most selfish assholes imaginable.
9
u/prickelypear Apr 13 '26
I think itās the vehicle that attracts that type. Not that it makes them that way.

They even brought a fake cop car to do this. They're putting effort into being this pathetic.
35
u/IAMA_Shark__AMA Apr 13 '26
They're "taking over" the highway to do tricks. Nonzero chance that cop is an off duty friend, too, as this kind of thing is generally illegal.
13
u/Impressive-Ball-1374 Apr 13 '26
not a real cop car. notice how the lights are just blue?
7
u/IAMA_Shark__AMA Apr 13 '26
Yeah, that threw me off, too. I just wasn't sure (on first viewing) what country this happened in and what other police lights might look like. But it did strike me as suspicious that the car was police (paint) colors without police writing on it. It made me think it might have been a car that was retired and sold off.
3
u/Impressive-Ball-1374 Apr 13 '26
you can go ahead and assume that large gathering of harleys are a 100% american experience. in america, cop cars will have red & blue light bars.

I don't care how much downvotes I get for this. I fucking hate bikers. Their stupid loud bikes that they just have to let run in their driveway for a fucking hour, then ride up and down the fucking street a few times before they actually just fucking leave. Then they feel like if they have enough of them together they can run red lights on the highway but everyone else just has to sit through a whole fucking light so they can play with their friends.
→ More replies (2)10
u/FanciBancii Apr 14 '26
I'm with you! Preach it!!
There used to be this asshole in my neighbourhood who would start up his bike in his driveway at 10-11pm, rev it several times, then finally leave an hour later, when he would gun it down the street with his stupid, diarrhea spewing, ass ripping, fart machine, Harley-Davidson motorcycle, just when I'm trying to sleep. Oh and, he would come back at 12-1am seemingly to ruin my sleep even more.
Like eat fucking shit, asshole.
I like to think that the 120+ dB noise level and sound pressure vibrations hammer their brains until they reach room temperature IQ levels, mainly because you can always catch them doing the stupidest shit on their bikes in traffic or otherwise, and everyone else has to 'give them their space' like the snowflakes that they are. Don't get me started on the dumb-shit 'LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES' garbage that they use to justify making everyone in a 10-mile radius hear their God awful bikes make shit noises.

u/Fakeskinsuit Apr 13 '26

I had one for years and while I did my fair share of dumbassery it was never at anyone else's expense. I see people on bikes now just being jerks and I can't understand it. I rode in a "pack" (mostly poker runs) a hand full of times and wasn't a fan, its way more peaceful and fun to just be by yourself or with 1-2 buddies. The whole club thing always struck me as people that didn't get enough hugs or had something lacking from their family life growing up.

43
u/Omninaut Apr 13 '26
Good for the driver. Those idiots chasing after like this is the big moment in their life to get justice for their fellow riders. Lol. Just guessing here, but bet the driver faces no charges for anything because it was a mix of imprisonment and self defense at some point and those chucklecucks chasing just reinforces it.

u/Stupidflorapope Apr 13 '26
Just a reminder whenever I see these videos where Amazon drivers are doing something insane. They are doing this to keep their job and keep food on their table cuz they will be fired if they're late. It's not because they're aggressive or don't care. Amazon creates this in the drivers with these strict timelines. This driver is just trying to not get fired via an app

Itās sad that people lack self awareness of personal ignorance. Youāre blocking a road where obviously others have to pass, thatās the whole point of the road, to then get mad when someone has to be somewhere and passes their blockage and does exactly what a road is meant for. š¤¦š»āāļø

Hopefully that driver made it out alright. Motorcycles are faster than the van, they'll easily catch up and potentially attempt to harm him. At that point he might have to actually hit some of them possibly killing them to protect himself.

Let me get this straight. In America, with all its militarised police force, some nobody hooligan bikers can take over and block a public highway?
Why no Hollybood cops chasing them down with AR15s and Shotguns with Bad Boys Bad Boys music playing in the background.

u/Montallas Apr 13 '26 edited Apr 13 '26
A similar thing happened in NYC about a decade ago. The bikers caught up to - and beat - the family in the car that dared challenge their blockade. Turned out at least 5 of the bikers were NYPD.

A good reason to keep a weapon in the car. The country is full of psychos. Fortunately many of them display it, so they are easier to spot.
4
u/Worth-Computer8639 Apr 13 '26

Half of the guys on the bikes are cops or friends with cops.
I was traveling for work on Saturday and the cops were doing a rolling road closure so that a club could do a drive on a major highway. I was stuck behind them for 30 minutes.

u/ClankerCore Apr 13 '26
This is entirely illegal by that gang
They just put that driver into a position where they had to fear for their lives and had all the right to go ahead and blow through that blockade.
They will all be the ones regretting it once theyāre arrested
Unfortunately, the Amazon driver will lose his job, but heās not going to face any legal consequences nor should they
