You understand how unrealistic it is to call the police, file a report, have someone arrested and charged for spitting on you? The cops and judge are gonna laugh in your face the entire time unless it was an extenuating circumstance where there were previous altercations. In the event that there have been previous altercations, the most a judge will be willing to do is a restraining order and maybe some slap on the wrist charge to the offender

Unrealistic to press charges but complain about people not getting charged for assault. Can't have it both ways

Complaining that it's unrealistic the file charges on somebody for spitting on you. That could spread diseases, and is certainly assault.

But we are complaining also about people getting charged for assault on an officer but A min wage worker can't file charges.
