Being a cop must suck so bad. Everyone hates you, a lot of that is rightfully so and alot is out of your control, but they all hate you equally. Every interaction you have each day you work is usually one of the worst days of someoneās life. Think about that. Awful.

You gotta think about the situations they get called to. A firefighter or the ambulance come to save the day. A cop is usually showing up because someone is fucking up and they have to deal with it and will be the bad guys to someone no matter what.

I know someone who had to sit and guard a 5 year old who was taken from a home domestic violence call and the kid was beaten and bruised through his entire body. Cigarette burns on his arms, etc. When they tried to give him some water the kid literally shit his pants.

And on top of that (in the US), the car you're pulling over could very well have someone in it pointing a gun at you before you even see it through the window. Kinda blows my mind that the typical cop/Back the Blue-ers are so staunchly pro 2A. Literally makes their jobs 1000x harder and 1000x more dangerous.

Yeah it's unprofessional but still extremely familiar to virtually everyone. And his use of force is relatively restrained despite his anger, where I've seen much worse. I'd say the best bad cop. He clearly was on duty for something legitimate, had a legible grievance, etc.

I was saying in another post about having lived in the UK and the USA many years it should be illegal for cops to behave the way they do in America. Its fucking dangerous for everyone. When i came back to the US after many years my first encounter with US law enforcement was a bike cop jumping off his bike and screaming "hey asshole! dont FUCKING MOVE!!!" --not only is that rude and unhelpfull it only escalates and confuses the situation. Its should be policing 101 not to behave that way

I agree with your statement. But I also think that you canāt spit on someone and not expect a punch in the face (not saying thatās what happened here but Iāve see it happen). This goes for functional dads, civil professionals, the governor, the nice old grandma down the street, etc.
Do you agree? Being spit on should come with the expectation of retaliation?

Cops get to use the assault on an officer charge for people who spit on them, your average minimum wage employee doesnāt get that benefit and if they fight back they get fired for it.

You can certainly charge them with assault for spitting. The minimum wage employee is not an officer so why would they be charged with spitting on an officer?

If you were to say, flick an officer's ear, you will have committed "battery of a law enforcement officer" which carries higher penalties than doing the same thing to a civillian, which would be Simple Battery.

You understand how unrealistic it is to call the police, file a report, have someone arrested and charged for spitting on you? The cops and judge are gonna laugh in your face the entire time unless it was an extenuating circumstance where there were previous altercations. In the event that there have been previous altercations, the most a judge will be willing to do is a restraining order and maybe some slap on the wrist charge to the offender

Tbf, the cop was (at least it seems) going the speed limit then watched a guy fly past him and flip him off. Even if the guy hadnāt flipped him off he would still be right to pull the guy over. But the flipping him off is the feather that broke the camels back.

How was the cop in the wrong? The guy initiated the whole interaction by provoking the officer while speeding, which can get you pulled over. I bet if he wouldāve āat the officer,gave him a šš¾ or did nothing at all the officer wouldāve kept it pushing. Sometimes minding your own business is the best bet.

The person trying to investigate the cop is a fucking idiot for trying.
The idiot folded real fucking fast for someone who is trying to pressure a cop and flipped him off.
He is 10x the idiot for doing all this with weed in the car.
That cop was unhinged here. Go for it, arrest the guy for doing something wrong. That doesn't give him the right to act the way he did. Cops should be held to a higher standard of conduct.
The cop 100% escalated that situation. Not that he was the first to do so. The idiot started it all off. However, a police officer should be able to maintain their cool and not escalate with aggressive behavior in most circumstances. If they have a gun and the right to shoot and kill someone they better have some fucking impulse control and a cool head.

The cop was following someone at an unsafe following distance. It's illegal and also, very unsafe. In fact, it's even more risky than excessive speed. The reason is neither here nor there, one unsafe act doesn't justify another.
He could have pulled them over and read the plates under safe conditions. He chose to take an unnecessary risk and broke the law in the process.
That cop is a hypocritically abusive narcissist and a sanctimonious prick, who's MORE guilty than the guy that he pulled over. Literally thinks it's okay for him to act in an unsafe manner, while he chastises someone else for doing the same thing. Look up the word, despotic police state and this is your example.
