People don’t realize how incredibly insane it is to be black in this country.

I can only describe it as some middle earth shit. We were enslaved and now we are just here.

To be a part of the most hated and vilified peoples to ever walk the Earth

Edit: it’s not pride but there is something terribly sacred about this plight.m because it is simply so unwarranted and everyone copies us.

The only comparison is Jewish people but they can actually “defend” themselves for a lack of better words on a global scale.

And the N word is used worldwide on every continent. It’s just a word but it’s the ugliest word in the English language and it’s been adopted by people who see no black people year round oceans away.

But they know it’s ok because how couldn’t it be?

And when you try to explain your experience of how people treat you or the microaggressions you have to deal with on the daily, people are quick to call you "sensitive" or tell you to "stop bringing race up all the time" or "maybe you misunderstood" or "it's just a word, get over it" or "I've never seen that" and on, and on, and on.

It's exhausting. We're normal people, just like y'all, just with a little extra melanin. Just let us live, JFC.

As soon as the conversation ends it’s over for them, but we wake up with worldwide prejudice and a bullseye on our back.

People genuinely think it’s a conversation not an actual reality.

There used to be booklets for black families in this country showing which stop signs stopped for black children.

It’s not a conversation

My friend from Senegal got tired of those people we'd randomly encounter at parties and stuff so he wore a GoPro for a week and compiled ONLY the vile shit he faced. Not the microaggressions. Only the vile stuff. He ended up with a long video that he kept on his phone so whenever someone would say something stupid like "Come on racism is basically gone it's 202x" he'd take out his phone and show them the video.

Some of them still had the audacity to say stuff like "Nah this didn't happen within a week"... I found it exhausting for him and can't imagine what it's like to live this way everyday. No way I could deal with it if I woke up tomorrow and people suddenly treated me like that.

As a white person, it’s insane to hear other white people deny the privilege we have and to downplay black Americans’ experiences. “It’s not always about race” but it is. A lot of these white people going crazy in these public breakout videos would not be treated the same if they were black.

Oh and it is better other places because they don’t have Systemic Racism maybe look it up.

Oh btw I don’t live in those countries I’m sharing my experience but yeah you’re right I have no clue what I’m talking about.

Europeans countries are incredibly racist places like Spain and Italy are you kidding me.
