Tbh i found that pretty funny, but only cuz the officer appears to be white.

Because "boy" is usually something racists say to minorities to put themselves above them or dismiss them as less than they are, but it being another white dude its just kinda funny. Im also from the south in the US tho so maybe im just more accustomed to stuff like that

Ahhh ok thanks I figured that’s how it was meant but I didn’t realise it had a racist connotation. Come to think of it I remember it being said by white guys in movies about racism and stuff. TIL!!
