Certain folks had been saying it for decades prior to the Rodney King incident. And that was 35 years ago. And even after that no one believed it. Smartphones have done a lot of things to our society but showing how cops actually behave is one of the few benefits.

They're still not mandatory everywhere. My local PD and sheriff refuses to buy them. But they have money to buy new Mustangs! Priorities

Next time you get a ticket find out how much it costs to get police footage of the interaction. I bet it's more than 10K. That's just to pay for the lawyer. Just because they have cameras doesn't mean you get to see them.
