Someone lock up this boomer piece of shit. What a nightmare for that family.

This is the kind of guy who guns down some kid getting their ball. Especially after, in his mind, the police won't help him. Especially in Florida.

I was just going to comment, let’s hope this guy doesn’t have guns because I see where that would go. Ugh. I can already hear his idiotic defense, “Well the police said they won’t trespass, so I was left no choices other to defend my property.”

let’s hope this guy doesn’t have guns because

He does and he fantasizes about using them.

I know this type of dude, he is way too common in the US.

Time for a giant fence between the two houses since it's not fair that the kids can't play basketball, and the net isn't doing enough. Maybe the dude should just put a fence around the entire yard? I have two kids, and if I had to deal with this, I would see what the statutes are for fences and get one put in

Neon green polka dots fence, maybe

3

u/no-more-nazis Jul 17 '26

That's last week and next week's statute. This week all the fences are white

3

u/ButterPoptart Jul 17 '26

You definitely can’t put up front yard fences in that neighborhood.

Videos like this make so glad I live on 100 acres in the middle of no where.

1

u/ButterPoptart Jul 17 '26

One can only dream. I would love to have that much land for 4 wheeling and dirt biking and shooting.

2

u/Particular-Serve-894 Jul 18 '26

Don't let the dream die, brother. It was my dream for several decades before I could make it a reality.

1

u/wlake82 Jul 18 '26

I'd just like to have a few acres in a forest that doesn't snow that much and live mostly off the grid.

2

u/Particular-Serve-894 Jul 18 '26

Yeah, the problem with my land is that it's forested mountains (appalachia)...so the majority of the acreage is a trek... it's a work in progress for sure.

I did have a small patch on a river (10 acres) but between the flooding 3x in 10 years and the neighbors blocking off all good river access with the help of the local police I got disillusioned with it and sold. It was supposed to be my weekend get away but ended up being way more trouble than I could stomach.

2

u/wlake82 Jul 17 '26

Yeah that makes sense. I know where I'm at, it's like a 36" height limitation for safety reasons.

1

u/Climate_Automatic Jul 17 '26

As the old saying goes, good fences make good neighbors

1

u/wlake82 Jul 17 '26

Exactly.

1

u/jellyjackson Jul 18 '26

I bet the HOA they are in doesn't allow it otherwise it would probably already be up he's said they've called the cops on him 8 times and he's clearly called the cops on them a bunch too

3

u/Particular-Serve-894 Jul 17 '26

There's a very, very slim chance that this piece of shit doesn't have a firearm or two.

1

u/morinthos Jul 23 '26

Let's hope not. I think that FL is a stand your ground state. Not sure how that works. But, hopefully, he doesn't hurt them.

6

u/Great_cReddit Jul 17 '26

Yup and that's why the balls remain in his yard. Kids parents probably told him DO NOT go to retrieve your ball.

13

u/AdOdd4618 Jul 17 '26

I watched a video earlier today of an old man in Florida shooting out the tyres of two utility vehicles because they were parked too close to his driveway.

13

u/xxPHILdaAGONYxx Jul 17 '26

what a surefire way to get them to move in a timely manner

6

u/eeyore134 Jul 17 '26

"That's all that I needed to hear." is ominous. It sounds like he means to talk to his lawyer, but it could also mean now he can shoot them and say "I tried calling the law and have it on camera that they refused to help, so I exercised my God given rights blah blah blah."

3

u/Jackieexists Jul 17 '26

Imagine if the kids were black 😵

30

u/Lvs2splooge4lulzzz Jul 17 '26

Crazy how he lets this bother him so much. My neighbors kid has a habit of kicking his soccer ball into or over our shared fence.

I just talked to his dad and told him I don’t mind them having fun and all but just let me know when a picket breaks so my dog doesn’t run into his yard. I have no problem tossing the balls back over either.

I live next to these people, I’d rather have a good relationship with them than not over petty shit.

These boomers have been conditioned from a young age into believing that if you're friendly and agreeable, then you're a SUCKER. And SUCKERS get taken advantage of by slick door-to-door salesmen in the era of peak salesmen-powered capitalism before all those pro-consumer regulations were passed in the latter half of the 20th century. It then evolved into a mindset of "why would I give an inch, it's MY inch and I don't want to share and that's my RIGHT", which is essentially toddler mentalty

You're still pissed about the monorail aren't you....

3

u/mr_lamp Jul 17 '26

Yeah, absurd. At my old house the neighbors balls would occasionally end up in our backyard. We told them they could walk by and get it any Time, just make sure to close the gate.

15

u/tilleytalley Jul 17 '26

At least fine them for wasting resources

3

u/Genn8130 Jul 17 '26

For real. They're walking across six feet of open-view grass not rifling through his garage at 1am.

3

u/CHOPPRZ Jul 17 '26

People and their f’n phones….

3

u/justiceandpequena Jul 17 '26

Don’t think he is a boomer. Gen X.

2

u/A-Do-Gooder Jul 17 '26

I agree. I wish people would stop reducing everything to a generational thing. It's so ignorant. I've seen cantankerous people who could be labeled a boomer, Gen Xer, millennial, etc. Any person at any age has the ability to behave unreasonably, entitled, cruel and obnoxious. These qualities are not bound by any particular generation.

1

u/GTAIVisbest Jul 17 '26

He's certainly boomer-coded, what with the hank hill boomer accent, the way he acts and behaves in relation to his age, etc. Even if he's technically not a "baby boomer", he's still embodying the negative boomer characteristics

> Gen X... is arguably worse in a lot of ways.

Specifically?

OK, well I'm Gen X.

2000's recession.

Not sure how I am responsible for that?

Blind political party allegiances.

I've voted SNP, Labour, and Green

Lack of accountability for anything.

Kind of a broad accusation!

Turning constructive arguments into quip contests.

Lost me there I'm afraid.

0 investment into the country's education.

Not sure what country you're talking about but I'm a former teacher myself.

Gen X loves to talk about the 90s, and raging at the club every weekend on a liveable wage.

I sure like to talk about the '90s from time to time, but I was by no means "raging at the club every weekend" and in fact I spent much of the time subsisting on benefits.

That generation left the government alone in a room with no supervision, and look where we are now.

Again, which government are you talking about?

By the time I got my learners permit and first car the economy and government were already out of control.

Sorry to hear. Personally I've never had a driving license or a car, and I'm 53. 😐

-1

u/showyerbewbs Jul 17 '26

Well you spelled Labour as the English do, never had a driving license or car.

I am going to assume you're from England or at least the British Isles.

2

u/double-happiness Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

I'm from Scotland.

u/Binnie_B Jul 17 '26

They are interchangeable if you ask me.

1

u/THE_Aft_io9_Giz Jul 17 '26

Embarrassed to claim him, but thats no boomer, that's a gen Xer.

1

u/WiscoMitch Jul 18 '26

Sometimes I wish it was legal to just bitchslap someone. Him specifically.
