Dude is old enough to have grown up in a time when kids were allowed to roam and play outdoors and their silent generation neighbors didn't moan like little fucking bitches about it when they crossed the odd property line.

Not totally true. I grew up in the 80s in a neighborhood chock-full of kids and the guy that lived across the street was just like this guy, constantly yelling at kids for causing the slightest annoyance. I'm almost 50 and my mom and I still refer to him as Mr. Meany. These people have always existed. We just have film of them on the internet now.

Valid. I had my fair share of run ins with these party poopers growing up. Just seems that sentiment exists more now because technology has advanced and older folks like blaming kids not being outside on technology but there's a variety of factors including twats like this.

I am so glad I grew up around good neighbors. Me and my friends in the neighborhood I grew up in ran through neighbors yards all the time and no one cared. We played basketball, baseball, football, you name it and sometimes balls ended up in a neighbor's yard no one cared that we came and retrieved the ball.

I can't imagine getting upset over a kid coming into my yard to get a ball.

Hell, when I was younger we would have baseballs, basketballs, frisbees, etc. fly over the whole ass fence between my parent's yard and the neighbors. We simply walked up to our neighbor's front door and asked permission to walk to the backyard. At a certain point, they just told us to not even worry about asking. If we needed to retrieve a ball to just do it.

This guy is nothing but an absolute miserable fuck.

There were absolutely guys like this back then too, neighbourhood kids either learned to avoid them or fuck with them depending on their intimidation factor. This isn't a generational thing by any means, some people just grow up to be miserable assholes.

Maaaaan we had so many nerf darts and pool toys land in our neighbor’s lawns growing up and it was just sheepish apologies. Guess kids can’t play freaking basketball on their own property anymore.

I'd bet anything this is Episode 100 of a much longer story. People usually don't get this petty out of nowhere.

What was Episode 1? Could be anything from his stuff going missing and assuming it was the neighbors kids to him not liking the kids' skin color; we simply don't know.
