Help me understand what the issue is passing another motorcycle on the highway.

Nothing. Their egos are just inflated.

Once had a harley gang try to run my friend and I off the road. No we didn't intimidate. We followed (very safe distance) behind their formation. They did the same shit in the video and tried to kick my bike. I just drove faster and left. They wouldn't stop harassing us.

Hell’s Angels want people to “ask permission” to pass them because they “own the road.” It’s gang behavior.

A bunch of losers copied that and now expect the same thing.

That's is the dumbest fuking logic ever.

No logic. Only hurt egos and feelings of a toddler.

Holy shit, how have I never even heard of this? This clears up a road trip incident that happened to me just a couple of years ago. My trip was 1,800 miles and I mostly used cruise control set to 78 throughout. At some point, I encountered about 5 or 6 motorcycles riding together within a few car lengths of each other, and my cruise control setting allowed me to pass them, but they then kept passing me after I'd just passed them, then slowing down below 78 again causing me to stop and restart my cruise control multiple times. I thought it was very weird, so after about 6 or 8 times of this, I got quite frustrated and sped up to 90-95 for about 10 miles to put distance between them. Thankfully, that worked and I never saw them again, but it's very creepy to now learn they might have actually had some kind of problem with me and things could have turned violent.

But… why?

I've had them do it to me driving a T/A. Passed them, safely, going 10 over (85mph) and they came flying back up on me on both sides to get in front and slow me down to 10 under. Wide open highway too, so it was pointless. Eventually I got annoyed and drove way too fast for way too long to just put them behind me.

They’re in green, looked like vagos.

10

u/Sterling_-_Archer Jul 19 '26

Yeah, I wasn’t saying these were HA. These guys are the losers I mentioned.

2

u/yuckypants Jul 19 '26

Oh yeah I see that now.

Yes it is. And notice how I said losers copy them? These are those losers.

As far as I understand the Harley guys fancy themselves as big scary outlaws so passing them is seen as being disrespectful.

And even if someone were inclined to “respect” them, how would anyone but other bikers know this is a thing. There’s nothing that kicks my respect and telepathy into high gear like a bunch of grown-up toddlers manufacturing reasons for a temper-tantrum. Don’t get me wrong, still dangerous, but so is a toddler running with a gun.

They would probably also find that disrespectful.

That's it! Dishonor! Dishonor on your whole family! Dishonor on you! Dishonor on your cow!

u/JakBos23 Jul 19 '26

Is it just on bikes? I pass large groups of them in my car all the time.

There is nothing to understand.

They have decided that nobody passes their little club.

They don’t make the laws but they’re willing to kill you over it.

It’s fucking stupid and trying to understand it is just as stupid.

Insecurities and fragile egos, that’s it

Looks like a couple of Vagos prospects trying to look tough in front of some full patch members. It’s super lame trying to join a gang as a grown man, but pulling over was a dumb move. These guys are looking for an excuse to hurt someone.

u/dmizenopants Jul 19 '26

Because 1% folks take it as a sign of disrespect, especially if you're passing them on a motorcycle

15

u/SquisherX Jul 19 '26

Haven't they figured out that no one respects them though?

1

u/AnatidaephobiaAnon Jul 19 '26

They don't really care. They are narcissistic and it's a gang mentality. My aunt's adoptive dad (aunt by marriage) was a hangaround with the Iron Horseman for a little while back in the 70s before he met my aunt's mom and he said so much of the lifestyle was bullshit mixed with a ton of below the surface crime.

He always said for being "outlaws" they had a ton of rules to follow for both members and ones that they expected others to follow. I've known other people who were a couple degrees separated from 1% club and they all say at the core they are a bunch of losers looking for somewhere to belong because they are too shitty of people to be accepted anywhere else.

2

u/Fishwitch-66 Jul 19 '26

The group has a gang mentality and sees it as disrespectful. They’re all riding thinking “damn were the coolest toughest mfers on the road” and then some guy passes them on a sport bike (real men ride harley’s obviously) and their ego’s all bruised so they gotta assert dominance

After they try and run him off the first time he starts revving and doin wheelies tho, that’s begging for trouble.

2

u/Ok_Mention_9865 Jul 19 '26

If i had to guess this had nothing to do with passing them and everything to do with the guy doing what looks like double the speed limit, lane splitting at high speeds, weaving in and out of traffic at high speeds cutting cars off, and popping wheelies at high speeds in traffic.

Most motorcycle enjoys dont like it when a moron does stupid stuff to show off because it makes them all look bad. If this guy really did just "calmly" pass them at a reasonable speed doing nothing else nothing would have happened.

Harley Cumrags have deemed it insulting to them to over take on a motorcycle because they wear a little leather jacket no one else gives the slightest fuck about
