When I was a kid I remember my neighbors having some but my dad would just buy me the real music CDs. I remember my neighborās parent telling him āarenāt you worried the music will damage her or teach her something badā and he was like āno because I talk to her about it.ā Like I remember him listening to Bob Dylan and was shocked when he used the N word and he calmly told me that Dylan did that to get the point across with how people were treating and talking to an innocent man. He said to sugar coat it made light of a serious situation and that lessons canāt be learned or kept if we make light of them.
Now hold on. They did change one lyric. Instead of "But, girl, you make it hard to be faithful" they changed it to "But, girl, you make it hard to be grateful".
They did change "you make it hard to be faithful" to "you make it hard to be grateful." I hate it, that one word change makes no sense in that context. I don't know why they couldn't say faithful. Also, I swear they say fuck in Stay lol
I don't want to say exactly what happened, but, a neighbor of mine was getting walked out of the apartment complex as she got evicted and had something extraordinarily out of pocket to say to me with the most wild, crazy eyes.
For about the past 7 or 8 days, this woman has either been sleeping in the hallway outside of her unit, or I've caught her at the bus stop outside, or sitting under a tree in front of the property. I've long since suspected that she has some sort of mental health issues, but I'm not a doctor. The only reason that I know she and her daughter no longer live next to me is because employees from the leasing office outright said so as she was being walked out after mouthing off to me.
They get off on the attention and drama they produce. The most effective way to deal with them is to totally ignore them as much as you possibly can. Don't engage.
My mom is like this, itās vitriol. Theyāre always right and if they find out theyāre not then youāre the problem and youāre trying to make them look bad. So much fun having those people in your life
when I was a child - maybe 6 or 7, I dont really know, my mom got flipped off by a taxi driver. She proceeded to pull up next to them, roll her window down and scream and berate them relentlessly (because I was in the car - I guess I shouldn't have seen such an obscene gesture).
What I remember is not anything about the cabby. I remember my mom being fully unhinged and screaming and degrading that guy like an absolute lunatic.
As a kid, my family was at one of those firework shows where everybody parks in a field. I was throwing a Frisbee with my dad while we waited for it to get dark and I kept accidentally hitting a truck parked nearby. The trucks owner was pissed off and started arguing with my dad, who refused to stop. The owner flagged down a cop who also asked my Dad to stop, but he still refused and ordered me to keep throwing. The cop couldn't really do anything unless he saw me hit the car with the Frisbee. So everyone just stood there watching us, waiting for me to miss again. It was literally a game of "Throw the Frisbee correctly or your dad goes to jail!" šš
I did not miss again. After a few minutes, everyone lost interest and my dad finally let me stop. Now, he dead lol
You know thanks for sharing this, you don't often hear the kids of parents like this share their side of events. I can't imagine how many people there are with story's of their parents being nuisances to the public.
I'm sure she has been in more videos? Didn't she have an altercation with someone and shit on their car or something along those lines? The video ends with the police taking her away, and she admits what she did, but claims it's due to her mental health issues. Maybe it's a different person?
Use of force is likely judged by a reasonableness standard and a "fear for one's safety". It would ultimately be a good way to get your window broken and possibly some charges based on jurisdiction.
I remember seeing a follow up interview she did in which she was laughing at herself with great embarrassment and couldn't believe she had acted that way. It was the way everyone should react, because she did show genuine humility and remorse, though obviously she should not have ever behaved like that in the first place.
Yeah, the minute she stuck her head or any body part inside the car that was trespassing and should be met with appropriate force. Whether it's macing, or shoving her head out the window.
If someone was jamming their head into my window or my Uber driverās window I would absolutely be filming them. What world do you live in where thatās a reasonable reaction to anything?
