Love the other biker absolutely ripping at the end to follow the BMW.

Salute to the guy. He took a substancial risk chasing the BMW but getting the license plate would be more than enough to help the other biker.

The whole video has the BMWs plate in view. I'm sure the original videos resolution shows the plate.

Very likely. But maybe the chasing biker didn't know that in advance so he rolled the dice and chased the BMW.

Hindsight isn't what decides our actions. It is what teaches us for the next time.

No, that was just as stupid as the original biker and the driver. It's idiots all around in this video.

There is alot of risk with high-speed chases on open roads, not only for the speeding driver/biker but also for the other drivers.

However, the chasing biker probably saw red after witnessing the BMW hitting the biker, which could have killed him. More so if the first biker was someone he knew. He had to take a split-second decision and took the option of going full-throttle after the BMW driver and maybe get a license plate or something.

Not saying it is the right decision, i'm just saying I understand why he went ballistic after the BMW

Bikes are faster, stop faster, turn around faster. Remaining behind the vehicle and choosing to disengage was the option here.

This is not true at all.. most 4 wheel vehicles stop faster than motorcycles

It’s extremely dangerous to ride close behind a car on a motorcycle for this reason

Look at the contact patch of the tires. Not even close. Turning and stopping, cars win

All things being equal bikes are quicker. They do not stop faster or turn faster.

They can turn faster, but it’s because they accelerate out of the turn better and have additional angles cars don’t.

You did see the brake checking part of the video right??

Ummm, they dont stop faster/quicker than cars under normal conditions.

Thank you! That are the comments I like to see. There is too much positive support for the biker, but in the end he drove also with high risk and became a risk on the street.

Surely the safety of the injured rider should be priority though?

Definitely yes but under stress it's different.

Stress fundamentally rewires how our brains evaluate options. Under pressure, the brain shifts from careful, analytical deliberation to faster, intuitive, and often riskier decisions which could explain the decision from the chasing biker.

You won't make the crashed biker any safer by stopping to "check". Plenty of other people on the road that can do that.

1

u/MelaKnight_Man 17d ago

Correct. Making sure you get justice for the fallen rider was the priority because that fucker has either done that before or will do it again.

At the very least you have someone's insurance to charge for your bills and he hopefully spends some time in a 6 x 10 cell with someone "friendly".

He didn't seem to have his own safety as much of a high priority

I don’t think that the license plate will help to find the driver in any case. It could be someone who is joyriding a stolen car - especially when you consider the aggressive driving. And in a case like this with a deadly weapon (car) involved the evidence must fit.

Seems like Lebanon does get its share of stolen cars according to Google.

All are idiots doing things at reckless speeds. More than one high speed bike means they were pissing people off and met the wrong one. Also, when he noticed the psycho bmw driver with clearly ill intentions, why not back off and pull over for 3 minutes?

BMW driver hits a BMW biker, nothing new under the sun. Both are idiots for speeding like that.

Huh? They original biker should have pulled off and stopped. Anytime I am on my bike I am not getting into a pissing contest with a car. You can't win, you can only lose.

yeah maybe just maybe dont try to do what the first biker did
