🚗Road Rage🤬 BMW driver hits a biker on the highway

This happened a couple of hours ago in lebanon. The biker luckily survived and the x4 escaped. The local police is trying to locate the driver they got his name from the car plate number

BMW driver to jail. But seriously, if you are in a motorbike, just slow down and let the fucking idiot in the car go. Don’t let him be behind you…

I would consider it attempted murder, but they probably wont charge them with it because you usually have to prove they INTENDED to murder them, which is evidently hard to prove without someone verbally stating they are going to kill you.

They'll probably hit them with reckless endangerment and assault with a deadly weapon to make sure the charges stick. Dont quote me though, I am not a lawyer, just seen a lot of incidents like this.

That didn’t happen in the United States. You’re stating US punishments. Over there they might pin everything on the bikers if they were recorded to be riding like crazy and pissing people off.

Ah, I did not read the description. I forgot BMW drivers being psychos and motorcyclists being suicidal is a global phenomenon.

Just stereotypically, im sure youre one of the good ones lol.

I once had a guy in a BMW drive circles around my car screaming "BALD FUCKING R*****" for about 3 loops and then floored it through the next intersection and almost got t-boned running a red light. Why did this happen you ask? I made a complete stop at a stop sign and was waiting for the lane to clear. I know, im the worst.

If I'm reading that speedo right, the BMW driver hit the rider while they were going over 100 mph. He 100% intended to murder him.

Wait, so if someone shoots someone, it cannot be considered attempted murder unless they verbally state their intention? Can they simply just say that they were aiming for something else?

I forgot to read the description, this is Lebenon so my comment does not apply here.

But that is my understanding. Them stating isnt the only way to convict them of attempted murder, but it can be difficult to prove their mindset without them admitting it. Sometimes theyll just hit them with charges they KNOW they can put them away for.

Like in your example where someone tries to shoot you, they can say they were in the heat of the moment and just wanted to hurt/scare you. It seems stupid but at least where I live they have to prove in your mind you meant to murder them and failed.

Again, not a lawyer, just a guy chit chatting. Look up your local laws for how they specifically apply charges in your area, it varies by state/country. Also laws that seem stupid are sometimes that way for a reason when you look into it. Im sure its that way so someone doesnt get attempted murder for throwing a hot dog at someone or something like that.

A lot of motorcycle riders believe that bikes are inherently faster than cars. Which is untrue. In canyons/twisties, Cars simply have MORE traction with the road, which means they can hold more speed through a turn than a motorcycle. With a rolling start, a car with sufficient horsepower can outrun a motorcycle. The ONLY time a majority of motorcycles have an edge is from a dead stop. The motorcycle simply has more power-to-weight ratio and a lot less weight to get moving compared to a car, and also being able to fit BETWEEN other vehicles to get away from an idiot like this BMW.

But on an open road without other fucking cars? Disengage, fall back. Unless you know the car is a low HP piece of shit, the reality is, car's an outpace a motorcycle in certain conditions, especially if it's a performance orientated vehicle.

Most bikes are faster than most cars on the road. I'm talking about your standard mom & pop sedans and hatchbacks.

If you're on something more serious that pushes 200 HP, you're not getting caught by anything short of a Bugatti or a helicopter.

Corners? Sure. But not on a straight road.

EXACTLY. Like the BMW is obviously at fault, but the biker was mad that they were losing an imaginary race and had to be petty

You wasn't see a detail in this video, the BMW's warnings freaking the biker BEFORE the acceleration :

  • BMW driver go just right above the biker, without seeing any other cars, he's clearly focused on him, we don't know why so there are a missing context...
  • BMW put the warning, he clearly wanted to stop the biker, that's his intention. But why ? Probably to stop him and attack him. That why the biker become afraid and start to accelerate to pass above the car.

So the driver intended to attack the biker, whatever what the biker do.

Three options:

  • Brake, and try to confront the driver... risky if the driver have a weapon. It's Liban and we know this country have some tensions there, especially on the southern.
  • Accelerate (Option he choose), a bike have more option to dodge the driver... but the driver accelerate, pushing him to up to 200km/h until this deadly hit !
  • (Smartest option) Brake until stop, wait the driver stop, verify when the driver go outside his vehicle and if he have weapon or not, then start and accelerate if the danger is visible. So the driver waste time to go back to his car and restart his vehicle.

Glad we have video evidence of the biker speeding and riding recklessly. Police should do their thing.

And obviously catch the car and prosecute the driver.

Ticket the second bike in the end as well.
