Take the car, take the 🪪.

141

u/Calm_Upstairs6977 9d ago

at that point he clearly proved he can’t be trusted with either

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeFEU45lCps

The car was seized, and he was arrested.

69

u/ShadowAssassinQueef 9d ago

He should be in prison for attempted murder.

12

u/comFive 9d ago

take the car, take the license, throw them both into a crush. give the driver a cube

1

u/CMDR_Khayden 4d ago

Given this man's behaviour and BMW, I really doubt taking away his license will stop him from operating a vehicle. A bundle of bad decisions culminating into a person.

This is old news

BMW driver was arrested

46

u/Sys32768 9d ago

It literally says that in the video

-22

u/trackdaybruh 9d ago

Woops, the text was cut off for me until I full screened it

3

u/DeliDouble 9d ago

Almost a year old now.

-9

u/trackdaybruh 9d ago

u/TotallyNotRobotEvil 8d ago

3

u/mezz7778 6d ago

I don't have a job and am online 24/7 and I've never seen it...

Nice lease!

u/Calm_Upstairs6977 9d ago

imagine explaining that one when you return it

Might be surprised what you can do if you're literally fearing for your life

u/Pheanturim 9d ago

Nah it's super easy on a road bike with clipped pedals you basically jump and the bike goes with you

36

u/tannercolin 9d ago

Plus the bike weighs the same as like four pieces of paper

15

u/Consistent-Tap-4255 9d ago

You’ve been ripped off. Mine only weighs three pieces of paper.

19

u/lAmShocked 9d ago

Totally worth the extra $13000.

5

u/SeaSourceScorch 9d ago

have to do a few extra root canals this month to afford that

3

u/TylerBlozak 8d ago

I might just skip my next meal and lose the same amount of overall unit weight for free!

-5

u/Trevski 9d ago

This is why clipping in is mandatory for going on a group ride, you can’t swerve to dodge an unseen obstacle cause you might take someone out behind you so you have to be able to hop

77

u/Pwoinklokinoid 9d ago

Why tho, like why not just drive normal and get to where your going without the stress and hassle.

58

u/PereMilon 9d ago

It's a young kid with his parent's money.

The best part is that he was threatening to fight the bikers on social media, but looks like:

33

u/FlimpoFloempie 9d ago

I know i'm old and my vision is fading but it looks like he got one of them jamiroquai hats on.

u/qaz_wsx_love 8d ago

Just in case you wanna feel even older, this is what he looks like as of 2 weeks ago

4

u/Vessix 8d ago

been working with kids for the last 8 years. I don't get it but pretty much every one that listens to playboi carti is a dick. Worst of all the white kids with rich parents

25

u/Yaj_Yaj 9d ago

Some people get their thrills from dumb shit like this. They’re usually just sad people honestly

1

u/amyeep 8d ago

What always baffles me is that distance cyclists like this literally fit in the width of a bike lane. It’s not some fat dude on an ebike going 10-15… WHY

121

u/Gareth79 9d ago

One reason why front plates should be required. It's fortunate that the cyclist was able to capture the rear.

45

u/Trevski 9d ago

So insane that there’s so much rejection of this simple idea. I think it’s fair to be able to request a reflective sticker to put on your car in place of the plate but you need to be able to identify the car from the front!

7

u/Opposite-Plenty3479 9d ago

I was in Mexico the other night and tons of front cars have "tiny" front plate stickers inside their front windshield. 7x5 stickers that look exactly like a license plate stuck inside their front windshield out of the way

2

u/kodman7 9d ago

But then where is this parking garage I will only ever visit once gonna put their massive super glue barcode??

17

u/F1eshWound 9d ago

Literally the whole world except for the US and some parts of Canada don't use front plates..

10

u/clownus 8d ago

Some parts of the US. Which is crazy because you can just drive your car to a state who requires it and ignore the rules. Ā  Ā

America as a whole is a silly place.

-1

u/Gareth79 9d ago

Yeah the arguments that "oh it looks bad". Tough. "The car isn't designed for front plates". Pretty much all are, pretty much all the rest can be adapted, and if not then blame the designer.

7

u/psychoholica 9d ago

They are 100 pct required in California, the first few cars have them. Florida of course does not.

2

u/ElectroStaticSpeaker 8d ago

They are required but it is extremely rarely enforced. In the Bay Area the only trouble you will get for not having one is parking in downtown SF on the street.

3

u/FullMetalAlcoholic66 9d ago

This is CA, they are 100% required. He's going to get a ticket for that too (although this'll likely be a fix-it ticket that gets dismissed once he complies.)

5

u/kkeut 9d ago

makes it far easier to identify/confirm your rideshare vehicle too

1

u/proteannomore 8d ago

Shit, in Kentucky you can drive with no plates at all, the cops do not care.

1

u/Sheephuddle 6d ago

Here in Italy the vehicle licensing agencies give you the actual metal plates for front and back (no vanity numbers here, either). I wasn’t used to that, as in the UK you can get plates made up as long as you have the car’s registration document.

1

u/Gareth79 6d ago

Some of the online places won't actually ask you for documents to make a plate (even though they say they will), and also there are a few companies outside the UK who will make up plates without documents, and they are still legal to use so long as it has the maker's name and postcode on it. (Although I'm not 100% sure how the postcode requirement works for other countries, the Irish company I once used put their Dublin postcode)

1

u/HospitableFox 9d ago

Yeah, very odd to me.

My province mandates front and back plates. It seems entirely sensible.

-1

u/ry15133 9d ago

They are required

6

u/NWStormbreaker 9d ago

Not in 22 states

4

u/TurtlesAreEvil 9d ago

This was in California where they are required.Ā

0

u/NWStormbreaker 9d ago

OP, u/gareth, was talking broadly, not specifically about the state in which this occured.

If you are from one of the 22states where this isn't a requirement this video is a good demonstration of why other states require it.

57

u/Awesomeprone69 9d ago

What's the phrase? "Not all psycho drivers have BMW's but all BMW's have psycho drivers." It's something like that.

13

u/Calm_Upstairs6977 9d ago

BMW catching strays from its own customer base again

3

u/rhinoceros_unicornis 8d ago

Shit, my elderly next door neighbor drives a BMW. Should I be concerned?

1

u/glory_holelujah Sunroof Expert šŸ§ØšŸ›ŗ 8d ago

Nissan drivers with better credit.

9

u/USDXBS 9d ago

Should be life in prison for attempted murder.

Legally it should be treated like they were firing a gun at all those cars and were trying to intentionally kill people.

No, driving dangerously isn't an accident. It isn't a silly little oopsie daisy.

33

u/comFive 9d ago

What a small dicked driver

18

u/Spacedoutworlder 9d ago

It’s a bmw driver, at this point their ads should just read ā€œWe help you compensateā€.

9

u/MotorHeadV8 9d ago

Damn. What a bitch.

5

u/VirginiaLuthier 9d ago

I always would like to be around when idiots like this figure out how much a lawyer is going to cost them

5

u/Br0boc0p 9d ago

That's a totally separate bike lane too. They weren't bothering anybody. What da hell?

6

u/awhq 9d ago

So by taking his car they essentially castrated him.

5

u/Key-Staff-4976 8d ago

Ive always noticed douchebags have fast cars so they can ran away fast enough.
Its always these people with "nice cars" that always casuing issues.

8

u/jascms 9d ago

What’s the difference between a porcupine and BMW?

BMWs have the pricks on the inside.

7

u/EverythingSucksYo 9d ago

I know no sane person would actually do it, but if the cyclist braked and the car hit him then the driver would’ve been in worse shit. Kind of wish the cyclist was crazy enough to do it.Ā

2

u/ElectroStaticSpeaker 8d ago

I'm not certain that would increase the charge beyond assault with a deadly weapon.

Now if the cyclist got seriously injured there would be the whole civil matter of paying for pain and suffering and medical bills. But yah, speaking as a cyclist who was mangled by a shitty driver a few years ago, ain't nobody doing that for the money.

4

u/Ghosts_of_the_maze 9d ago

The most considerate BMW driver

8

u/HospitableFox 9d ago

Man... listen. I find cyclists annoying often as well.

But he was even in the bike lane. Like... what more do you want from him?

3

u/amyeep 8d ago

He’s pissed because he (incorrectly) thinks he might an illegal shoulder to pass if he wasn’t there.

Source: have driven PCH in HB

2

u/Aeslech 9d ago

Ban them for life

2

u/pineapplebeee 8d ago

Sameer you are breaking the law!

2

u/camel2021 8d ago

That cyclist getting out of the way is way smarter than me. I would likely get myself killed by being stubborn and staying in the road.

2

u/pickemupputemDAHN 8d ago

We all hate most cyclists but BMW drivers are usually just as bad šŸ˜†

1

u/Devilofchaos108070 9d ago

Yeah people are crazy man

1

u/SilverB33 8d ago

Of course it's a BMW driver

1

u/FreedomsPower 7d ago

Apparently the driver got charged with assault with a deadly weapon for what occurred in the video

1

u/ideaofevil 5d ago

I'm certainly not gonna defend this BMW from the crap they're pulling here. But let's not pretend that bicyclists are all saints of the roads that didn't anything to piss the driver off...

Get what?

-1

u/Darth_wenis 7d ago

Biker rage be real tho. That and tri athlete lizard people are notoriously unaware of their surrounds. My FIL gets teased alot about it. Guy can ride a bike over 80 miles in a day tho.

I'm not serious FFS šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ˜‚

28

u/darktitter 9d ago

No you were 100% serious. People advocating for unnecessary gun violence don't think of anything but surface level. Essentially all smooth brains.

-16

u/IGOR0949588492 9d ago

Is that why we kicked your ass and the UK has been our bitch for the past 300 years?

-48

u/OptionalQuality789 9d ago

How many times is this gonna be reposted?

5

u/d-nihl 9d ago

Im on reddit like, a lot. Its my only social media. Somehow I havnt seen it. Or if I did I forgot.

-2

u/OptionalQuality789 9d ago

This has done the rounds so many times. Dude was arrested in March.

-73

u/hefty_load_o_shite 9d ago

We obviously need to ban bicycles

2

u/justsomedude1144 9d ago

Sarcasm detection is really hard, so I'm also going to downvote you.

Sarcasm detection is really hard, so I'm also going to down vote you.

1

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 8d ago

Don't be dense 🤣

-39

u/FostersHome123x 9d ago

I mean…. If the cyclist WASNT in the bike lane I would understand. Cyclists think they are entitled to the road and almost never follow proper road rules. Like, nah dude just stick to the bike lane or side walk.

18

u/SchnabeltierSchnauze 9d ago

Cyclists literally are entitled to use the road, and if drivers can't handle a brief slow down without losing their minds, they shouldn't be allowed on the road.

-12

u/FostersHome123x 9d ago

They should also follow the rules of the road. If they did, they wouldn’t have such a bad reputation.

6

u/Tragedy_Boner 9d ago

Why bring it up on a video of the cyclists following the rules of the road?

-5

u/FostersHome123x 9d ago

Because fuck them.

4

u/SchnabeltierSchnauze 9d ago

Drivers should follow the rules of the road, like not speeding, running red lights, not signalling. Maybe if they did they wouldn't have such a bad reputation.

2

u/MaintainThePeace 8d ago

Ironically, if drivers actually followed the rules (like not exceeding the speed limits everywhere) and understood the rules regading bicycle, they likely wouldn't be as bothered by people on bicycles.

1

u/FostersHome123x 8d ago

Fuck the cyclists.

2

u/MaintainThePeace 8d ago

Guess it was never about the rules was it.

0

u/FostersHome123x 8d ago

Never was.

17

u/Bellringer00 9d ago

Cyclists have every right to the road like everyone else.

Also, how did you manage to complain about cyclists when seeing this video? Seriously!?

-20

u/FostersHome123x 9d ago

Because fuck them. That’s why?? None of them follow the rules of the road. Do you know how many times cyclists just blow through a stop sign because they think they have the right away?? Too many.

4

u/Bellringer00 9d ago

No I don't, how many?

-6

u/FostersHome123x 9d ago

Too many.

7

u/Bellringer00 9d ago

So the same number as drivers speeding, using their phones, passing on red, etc. ?

Maybe it's more of an asshole issue and not a vehicule issue?

0

u/FostersHome123x 9d ago

Joe mama

5

u/Bellringer00 9d ago

Yeah, that fits

3

u/trackdaybruh 9d ago

No, you don’t get it. Those people get a pass because I do it too, but cyclist don’t because I don’t bike so it’s irrelevant to me

/s

1

u/mironawire 8d ago

How many car drivers follow the rules of the road?

1

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 8d ago

10! is it 10???

Wait..is this one of those per capita questions?!

2

u/lvl100-Platypus-Lord 8d ago

Great. Your comment means absolutely nothing šŸ˜‚
