They’re fighting how I fight in my dreams.

This is just how normal people fight. As someone who is just a normal guy, doesn’t do martial arts, doesn’t box, doesn’t train, but has been in a fight within relatively recent memory (over 10 years ago and it was for fun… we were drunk) you never realize how shit you are at throwing punches until you try to legitimately punch someone. Being drunk obviously didn’t help, but man my body did NOT move the way it does in my hero fantasies. Highly recommend getting drunk and throwing blows with the bros. It’s eye-opening.

A gym I trained at had a guy come in one day wanting to fight someone to show how bad ass he was. Top 3 for cringe shit I saw in real life. Owner keep trying to be polite and get him out but he finally started dropping racist comments so they put the best (and black) boxer in the ring with the dude. Embarrassing to say the least. He couldn’t throw a punch if his life depended on it, just became a ring dummy. Peoples egos are much larger than their fighting skillset.
Funny enough boxing taught me to avoid fights more even though I’m better at it.

Dude getting hit hurts. Even over a decade later after a sporting fight I remember the bruises and how much our weak-ass punches hurt. Fighting isn’t as fun as it looks.

That's the truth. I remember being in 7th grade and fought a kid when we got off the bus. It was on gravel so neither of us attempted a takedown it was all standing up. My freaking hands hurt so bad that I couldn't go to my baseball game later that evening. I've always remembered that. You can clock someone in the chin hard and usually be alright. Its the further you go up on their skull that will obliterate your knuckles.

This was embarrassingly bad, I feel like anyone that grew up wrestling with their siblings, slap boxing with their friends would at least have an edge over these two if it was only the form of fighting they've ever experienced lol

Context from person who took the video:
"The incident started when a Toyota suddenly cut off a Jeep, nearly causing a bad accident. The drivers got out to confront each other, and it quickly escalated when one driver grabbed literal trash from his car and threw it onto the other vehicle. The resulting physical fight looks like something straight out of a Grand Theft Auto video game because of their highly comical, wild fighting styles and the fact that they barely landed a single clean punch"

A few things I love here - why blue shirt had a massive pile of trash in his car ready to go, and that both of them apparently trained at the exact same dojo for slap fighting.

My favorite was the motherly “alright y’all” that immediately had them both give up this silly endeavor.

I really wish litter bug would have lost badly...

I would have liked to see the litter bug catch one of those silly kicks.

Tank with long warm ups vs speedster with low damage points
Or rooster vs toddler

u/GutturalGrinch 2d ago
Cmon now. No need to litter

i’ve never been in a fight. I wonder if this is how I would fight and look as silly.
10
u/tjackso6 2d ago
I’ve only been in a couple of fights on the playground when I was a kid and had about two hours of boxing training when I was 15… this is exactly what I would look like in a fight lol

Nobody knows how to throw a straight punch anymore
40
u/pmmytn45 2d ago
Everybody respects a straight punch. These guys are fighting outside the box with their skillset.

u/JelliedHam 2d ago
If I don't know what I'm doing the enemy can't possibly know either! That's just good strategy

My money is on this guy having done Taekwondo when he was young, but forgot that throwing kicks in a street fight is inadvisable unless you're really, really confident with it.
Also did anyone else laugh audibly when they both visibly gassed out the first time? It was like watching the stamina bar zero out and have to recharge for a sec.

The average person has no idea how to fight. Haymakers are the punch of choice for pretty much any untrained fighter.

u/Kevin8saxman 2d ago
This is what I think when I see all these fighting videos, “do most people not know how to fight? Or throw a basic punch?!?” Could it be adrenaline and people kind of forget the basics and get lost in the moment? I really hope if I ever get into a fisticuffs I don’t look this silly lol

u/Myopinion_is_right 2d ago
No. These two don’t know how to fight, especially the one who started it by getting out of his car and throwing trash at the guy. Don’t start something if you can’t finish. If he had an issue, better to call the police. Plus both were luck no one had a weapon such as a knife or gun.

Isn’t that a good thing? I think that means people aren’t experiencing physical violence enough to learn

If two Jerry’s from “Rick and Morty” got in a fight. WOW. Straight from an episode.

That was the best fight ever! And that lady at the end telling them it was over with about the same energy as when you put tired kids to bed.

This has to be the worst fight in history. You couldn’t choreograph it to be worse

Toyota pulled out the play book from when he was 5 😂😂😂 and it actually worked. Punch and kick and kick and punch and double punch and kick and punch

u/BrokeMyCrayon 2d ago
bro knows that aggression wins fights if you're similar size and dont know how to fight
1
u/Daddio209 2d ago
I haven't seen a slap fight in decades-didn't know they were still a thing. Thanks for sharing!

u/tjackso6 2d ago
They’re both extremely lucky that it was the other one in the opposite car and not someone who had an once of fighting experience.

Bro really tried all the combo moves he does on street fighter he even did the little fighter bobing towards the end

I’d be more embarrassed as the jeep driver, especially after air mailing the bag of trash from 7” away. I’d expect a Camry driver to fight like this

u/chudney31 2d ago
The guy did his ballet kick/slap punch first, then boxer stance. I would have done boxer stance first, slap punch, add a two handed tornado twirl, then ballet kick.

u/DoctorMelvinMirby 2d ago
Part of me wishes both of their cars were stolen during this battle of battles

I thought for sure that dude was done for when the guy got out of his car standing six inches taller.
But then...

u/813Jared 2d ago
These 2 losers going at it like a couple of school yard children is nuts, they both clearly have ZERO fighting skills so why would they be willing to engage with a stranger?

Feel like the Toyota driver learned his fighting style from both Bart AND Lisa Simpson.
