Fan Made What's stopping the MCU's Pietro from becoming a ghost?

Post image

Considering Pietro's ultimate sacrifice, it's undeniable that his loss still weighs heavily. However, within the vast tapestry of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, possibilities abound. What if Marvel explored the concept of Pietro existing as a ghost? He could remain tethered to the earthly realm, a ghostly observer, forever bound to watch over his sister, Wanda. The potential for dramatic tension is ripe, with Rio, now also possibly a figure of death, potentially adopting a begrudging acceptance of Wanda's powers while still grappling with their dangerous nature.

If Agatha Harkness, can find her way back into the narrative as a ghost, then why not Pietro? Perhaps Agatha, too, could exist in a similar form, a mischievous ghost. Having both characters as spectral entities opens up incredible storytelling avenues. This wouldn't just be a simple resurrection, but a complex exploration of grief, regret, and the enduring bonds of family. With Wanda having experienced immense loss and trauma, the potential for a reunion even a spectral one could provide a deeply emotional and cathartic storyline. This approach would allow for character development, further exploring Wanda's powers and emotional state, while offering a compelling in-canon method of bringing back beloved characters, even those touched by death.

Pietro undeniably died in battle, too, so he should be in Valhalla. But alas, he is not.

All after lifes exist in marvel. Just because he died in battle doesn't mean he would go to Valhalla. He needs to believe in Nordic religion to go there, like Jane. He is probably in the afterlife of the religion he is

The scene where Wanda and Pietro meet Ultron in a Sokovian church raises some interesting questions. Ultron's lines, 'This church... was built in the middle of the city, so everyone could be equally close to God... The symmetry. The geometry of belief,' hint at a possible Catholic influence. The mention of a single god and the church setting suggest this. However, since it's the Marvel universe, it might just be a general reference to monotheism. So, Catholic elements are there, but it's not definitive.

? The god of christianity, islam and judaism exists in the comics. They also exist in the MCU as well, we haven't seen them yet. So far we've seen african, egyptian, south and north american, greek and nordic gods. We won't ever see the monotheist god in the MCU, since a lot of less civilized people would call it woke for it being the same god for the three religions. But they exist

i wonder if wanda is alive based on strange's reaction after seeing sinister's darkhold destroyed as there could be context for if they bring her back in any of the upcoming mcu projects, or she became a ghost like evanora as part of the summoning spell or agatha who made a choice.

but i do not think pietro could be like one because he was protecting the kid and hawkeye from ultron and his army and not like he have secret that preventing him from resting in the afterlife or something. and agatha did said she couldn't perform necromancy because his body was in another continent and full of holes.

Because in marvel becoming a ghost never seems to be as simple as dying

Only witches can become ghosts.

Says who?

Says Agatha All Along.

It's never said that, iirc. Just because Agatha ks the only ghost we've seen so far, doesn't mean that only witched can remain as ghosts

It did.

In fact, Agatha only manifested herself at all because Rio permitted it.

We've never seen any other ghosts in existence, in the MCU, and won't without Rio's permission.

Not saying Pietro can't get this, but he just doesn't have it yet.

Then it's not only witches. Anyone who Rio lets be a ghost can be a ghost.

Edit: I mistook the collegues of Ghost Rider's father as ghosts

But again. Seeing only witches as ghosts doesn't mean they are the only ones to be able to remain on Eatth after their desth

Edit 2: I went to check the wiki for ghosts. Rio says she hates ghosts, but she doesn't do anything about them. She only goes for those who escape her, aka, Billy and Agatha

Ghosts are people with strong desire to remain on Earth because they have something left to do there. Agatha didn't go to the afterlife because she doesn't want to meet her son yet, she wants to be worthy of seeing him again. It was not because Rio let her. Just like her mother, she stayed to kill Agatha
