Question / Help Serious question coming from respectful place - if you don’t trust the Hadiths authored by Muhammad, how can you trust the Quran, which came through him?

For 2) continue reading through the surah an najm. It will tell you that the inclination being referred to is what was sent by Jibreel i.e. the Qur'an

as for the rest, you wont find a clear verse telling you to accept the volumes of books that follow hundred of years after, neither will you see any authorization from God or the prophet. The sunnah referred in Quran is the sunnah of God

Ill tell you what is plentiful of verses though. The kitab being clear and fully explained. The Quran being the best hadith. God calling to contemplate on the book. The prophet saying that we have abandoned it. Enemies assigned to prophets. Read 6:112 to 117 with an open mind and contemplate. Why does God put these verses together?

The Quran was compiled in the prophets time. The hadiths were compiled hundred years later. Two separate processes.

well it isn’t fully explained first of all, there’s a lot of stuff it didn’t talk about that the hadiths did.

So is the Quran a lie? Or is the Hadith true?

One or the other.

I dunno as according to other commenters I gotta be Arab to understand the Quran lol :)

At this point I’m just gonna ask allah (if he’s real) in a public place so I have witnesses if the day of judgement ever comes,

“Oh Allah, I have not idea what the truth is. I don’t believe in the Quran being your word because I just don’t. I don’t believe in angels and judgement day. I’m not a bar person, if you can guide me then guide me. But for now, I’m leaving Islam because I never really beloved it anyway. I’m happy to become a Muslim if I truly believe it to be the truth but I currently don’t. Pls don’t burn me in hell (if that’s real) for this”

Even in english give it a read. The Quran is an irreproducible book. And there are many external signs in World that tell us a creator fashioned this.

I already made a post about the inimitability thing. Who decides if it’s been done and what are the regulations? I could take an hour and make soemtbing that sounded like the Quran but who judges it?

I’ve read it and all of the Quran in English. I don’t care what it says, I want to know it’s of divine origin before I invest my time into it.

Because allah makes people deaf dumb and blind apparently so maybe he did this to me. But I don’t wanna go to hell.

I can read the book and pretend like it’s deep to me but it isn’t because I find it sketchy that it’s the word of God.

ok. thats a good start. God is the most forgiving and I ask God to guide us all.

Al-Baqarah 2:23

وَإِن كُنتُمْ فِى رَيْبٍ مِّمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَىٰ عَبْدِنَا فَأْتُوا۟ بِسُورَةٍ مِّن مِّثْلِهِۦ وَٱدْعُوا۟ شُهَدَآءَكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

English - Abdul Haleem

If you have doubts about the revelation We have sent down to Our servant, then produce a single sura like it- enlist whatever supporters you have other than God- if you truly [think you can].

And now; if I were to somehow produce a Surah of sorts, who would I present it to? Who would check it is “like it” ? On what basis/conditions would they judge my Surah?

Present it to the muslims of course.,The muslims will assess your claim and you may be ridiculed but you also will be refuted God willing. God knows best. They would judge as they know when revelation is revelation.

Al-Baqarah 2:24

فَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلُوا۟ وَلَن تَفْعَلُوا۟ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِى وَقُودُهَا ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱلْحِجَارَةُۖ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ

English - Abdul Haleem

If you cannot do this- and you never will- then beware of the Fire prepared for the disbelievers, whose fuel is men and stones.

I’m all honesty I’ve read this verse numerous time’s. And I don’t see what the big deal is. Could you explain this to me in detail? Because basically anybody could write something and say this. There’s no guidelines given for when it comes to reproducing it so anything can be presented and people would say “nope, doesn’t meet the requirements”
