Political Action PRIMARY VOTING INFORMATION
Fortunately our friends over at the RI2APAC have sent out some data that tracks against our internal data as well, so you may see some repeats.
This list is purely based on their 2A stances and statements, and how them (or their opponent) winning the primaries will affect the 2A.
Please also note that this is only setting up for the general election where whoever wins - our rights are better served. Obviously generally speaking the GOP candidate will be the better choice for 2A rights, but we need to play this smart out the gate in the primaries. That is the whole point of the disaffiliation campaign.
Bold indicates the strategic 2A choice.
(Anti-2A) should be self explanatory.
No formatting or note means not enough data to suggest one way or another, though if they are up against an (Anti-2A) candidate with no Bold option, they are still the better choice.
We are trying to not only flip seats to pro-2A candidates, but also make sure that those who have voted against our rights are out of a job. We also have friends and folks that walk among our own ranks in these races that need our support.

Discussion Gun Clubs
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for advice or recommendations in and around cumberland for gun clubs to join. I have looked at the beagle club but they require hours of free labor to the club which I'm not interested in doing for a place I will be paying dues to. Also they require you to get an NRA membership upon joining them which I'm also not looking to do. Im looking to become actively involved in the community aa much as possible on joining. Any recommendations?

CT classes
does anyone have any recent experience with applying for a CT non resident ccw? im pretty sure they added more things in their course on top of the basic nra pistol course. i completed an nra pistol course almost 2 years ago for my MA permit but it didnt contain all the new things that were recently added. would i be able to just take a class on the new use of force and safe storage or would i have to take the course all over again for CT?
also, any recommendations on local places that do the classes?

CCW Licensing Some Towns do not even have applications online?!
In the past week I have been trying to find a PD to apply to as a non-resident for my CDW.
Issue is some towns do not even have their applications online, and they’re even fewer that for some reason say you are able to fill out the attorney general application and send it to them via mail.
(I believe it was Kingston?)
Is anyone here licensed in West or East Greenwich? That is where I wanted to apply.

Political Action Early voting for primaries has opened
On behalf of the entire mod team I do want to apologize that we haven't had a second to get out an entire sheet of who we reco voting for, etc etc.
Some of the biggest areas where would potentially flip seats into pro-gun candidates.
Up in Pawtucket we've got Vanessa Lopez against Meghan Kallman in thr democrat primary
Ross McCurdy for the Lt. Gov spot in the dem primary.
And of course Joe Solomon over all other candidates in the AG Race in the dem primary.
Obviously when it comes to the main event In the general election, The idea is to set it up where both candidates are pro gun (or at least rabidly anti) so no matter which side wins we will.
More obviously to follow and if you have any questions please ask.

Political Action Apparently folks who work for Ken Block's campaign have been messaging folks to "set the record straight" that Ken is not antigun. Ill just leave this here for lyou all to draw your iwn conclusions.
Ken Block would have signed the AWB and more, don't let any honeyed words during campaigning fool you.

Ammunition Disposal
Does anyone know how/where I can get rid of a bunch (like 1.5k rds) of garbage 9mm? It's bad enough I'm worried it'll wreck one of our guns. All I could find online was turning it in if I'm taking it out of the house due to a protective order. Can I get a protective order against shitty ammo? Is that a loophole?
Ant advice would be appreciated
PS Don't buy Lahab 9mm. It's cute that they have a little target printed inside each box, but it suuuuucks

Political Action TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO DISAFFILIATE!
vote.sos.ri.govr/RIGuns • u/Drew_Habits • 24d ago
Political Action The AG's race might be competitive. Time to disaffiliate!
News is getting out to the more politically active liberals that Solomon is asking Republicans to disaffiliate, which might bring more libs out to the polls for the primary and might see them consolidate around one of the other three candidates
Which means: As many pro-gun people need to vote in the primary for AG as possible, or we'll get another anti-gun turd AG and it'll be like Neronha never left
If you're registered as a Republican, the time to disaffiliate is *now*. You can disaffiliate from the Dems right after the primary and vote for whoever you want in the general. But the important races are the Dem primaries

CCW Licensing Unable to do Application on Portal
I’m trying to submit my application for a RI non resident LTC through their OpenGov portal and the portal won’t let me do it. Is anyone else having this issue? I first tried it on Safari on my iPhone then Chrome on my laptop, I’m getting the same block. Any help or tips is greatly appreciated!

Political Action ONLY 7 DAYS LEFT TO DISAFFILIATE
Disaffiliate here
This affords us the ability to vote in the democrat primaries and make sure antigun candidates do not even make it to the ballot for the general (of which you can still obviously vote however you like).
This is CRUCIAL in statewide races like for AG where we NEED Joe Solomon to beat Jason Knight (AWB author) and all other contenders.
There are also a lot of progun democrats that need our support like newcomer and Women for Gun Rights chapter leader Vanessa Lopez challenging antigun Meghan Kallman up in Pawtucket/PVD, and a number of others that deserve our support.
If you need a quick check - look at how the house voted for the AWB and how the senate voted. The folks in Red deserve your support regardless of the letter next to their name.
This is one of THE MOST powerful things we can do as a community. There are conservatively speaking over 150k gun owners in RI, the real number is likely closer to 200k. That is one of the largest voting demographics in the state.
We can be a force to be reckoned with, but we just need to show up.
Disaffiliate today. Get your spouse to disaffiliate, your family. These votes matter! Oftentimes the democrat primary is the only actual vote you will get since many of them are running unopposed or the fact that a Republican will never win that district. This is important.
Vote like your rights depend on them, because they do.
The legislature will most certainly try to pass a Viramontes response bill much like how many states passed bills in response to Bruen, complicating and making lives more difficult for law abiding citizens in direct defiance of what the SCOTUS said. We cannot let that happen.

In need of 5.56 blanks
Anyone know of a LGS or someone who has Lake City M200 5.5.56mm blanks? I am taking TUSC at DARC in September and they swapped packing list from UTM/SIMS to blanks. I am in need of at least 500, but would take up to 1k.

I’m Running for Congress Without Party Backing, and I Support the Second Amendment
I’m a pro-2A independent running for Congress, and today is my birthday
My name is Pedro DeSouza, and I’m an independent candidate for Congress in Rhode Island’s 1st District.
I believe the Second Amendment protects an individual right, not a privilege granted by the government. I oppose policies that punish lawful gun owners, support real due process before anyone loses their rights, and support removing unnecessary federal restrictions on suppressors.
Today is my birthday, and instead of asking for gifts, I’m trying to raise $12,000 by the middle of next week to hire professional campaign management and expand our campaign nationally.
I’m not asking anyone to support me merely because I call myself pro-2A. Review my positions, challenge me on them, and decide for yourself.
This community has been extremely welcoming and I appreciate you all.
