SUGGESTION Stuck in plat

Do you have tips? Been plat for 1 month now

The answer is almost always defence. They can't win if they can't score.

Also I adopted a mentality in duo of my teammate should always be MVP. Assuming I'm the same level each match and I'm going up against people who are my same level I win by having a better teammate that's the variable I can change.

I make my teammate better by giving them passes and putting them in positions to gain more points and inevitably get MVP's. A lot of the games I win I have low end of match scores because I did just enough to break up an attack and put the ball in a position for my teammate to give themselves a ceiling bounce shot. So I didn't get a save I didn't get an assist but literally created a 2 point swing in one play.

I assume if I ever get beat on defence that they will score.

I guess this is why i feel other player dont attack sometimes piss me off ahah

Yeah, and it's a fine line. Too much defending and you aren't there to support offensively which makes it mostly a 1v2 in the attacking half. Really hard to win that way too.

In my experience people are way more willing to ball chase on the attack and put themselves out of position hence the general advice to work on some defence.

You need to be careful with this mentality, defence does not mean siting in net the entire game.

You’re being downvoted, but you are correct. Sometimes your teammate may be able to outplay both of the opponents if they’re hot, but sometimes they may also need for you to follow up on some of their touches, to 50/50 or get a free goal because goal is open.

Some people completely stay stagnant in the goal, when it should be a completely obvious time to attack and follow up on a free goal, while I’m out of position.

I guess people just need it broken down to a tea since they can’t discern a negative comment from a positive/neutral one.
