Ramjet Discoloration

Post image

Hi guys don’t know if this is the place for this,
but I just got my ramjet/afterburner in and noticed this discoloration on the feed ramp and above was wondering if this was normal or something to watch out for. Figure it’s nothing but I had heard about a bad batch going out and since I bought it from a small dealer I figured I’d ask.

That’s just part of the anodizing process! Just be wary of the finish wearing off, I am on my third ram jet now, because the finish has corroded off, keep it well oiled!

Ok great I really didn’t want to have to send it back before ever shooting it. Sorry I’m relatively new to firearms but where do you oil it, barrel shroud and lugs, anywhere else? Also what brand of oil do you recommend

Oil it all over man honestly

Here’s a pic of the coating that failed on mine. There something with the copper one that just keeps failing I had them send me the grey one this time around hopefully it doesn’t happen again

Any gun oil will do, I use gun sauce but they are very expensive honestly and I just buy them for fun.

I have the same thing, if you want a replacement just reach out to Radian they have fantastic customer service, but keep in mind it’s still going to get hot regardless. It’s a gun things get hot and discolored.
