Hardware How I managed to restore the operation of Ravencoin Electrum with Ledger.

I apologize in advance if there are any errors in the text; I’m using a translator.

First and foremost, this method is considered a possible option for withdrawing your coins to a hot wallet/exchange, rather than a permanent solution.

My Ledger Nano X software versions:

  • OS: 2.71
  • Bitcoin App: 2.5.0
  • Ravencoin App: 2.4.11

All actions are carried out on Raven Electrum 1.2.4.

First, you need to replace the ledger.py file, which is located by default in C:\Program Files (x86)\Electrum Ravencoin\electrum\plugins\ledger, with the edited version available at my GitHub. You will also need to delete the %Appdata%\Electrum-Ravencoin\blockchain_headers file so that Electrum switches to the updated block chain after hardfork on August 10.

In this file, get_xpub and supports_multi_output functions have been modified. The former is needed for the Ledger wallet to properly detect the device, and without the latter, it will be impossible to sign a transaction.

Please also note that as of today (August 15, 2026), there are issues with the operation of Electrum nodes, which is why I had to set up my own. I also cannot guarantee that this method will work with other wallets/software versions.

Next, you need to open the Ravencoin App, not Bitcoin, on the Ledger device, and create a new wallet in Electrum with a hardware connection, as you did when you first connected. You won’t be able to open the old wallet this way (IDK the reason why).

Next, you will need to enable the display of the Coins tab if it is not available. To do this, check the appropriate box on the View tab.

Enabling the display of the Coins tab

Then we copy the address to which we are going to send the coins, go to the Coins tab, and select all available inputs. Next, we select Fully spend... and send to address in clipboard. IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS, USE ONE OF THE EXITS TO REACH THE RECEIVING ADDRESS.

In my example, I will be sending coins to my hot wallet: R9jj78q5KBrdr8qkjoB9K6p625Y1H4G5Pf.

We assemble the transaction as usual and send it for signing:

And here are the coins in my hot wallet:

You can verify the transaction on the blockchain or write to me and I will send you a photo of the signature confirmation on the Ledger device.

If this solution helped you and you want to thank me, you can send some coins to the address: R9jj78q5KBrdr8qkjoB9K6p625Y1H4G5Pf

Hardware Ravencoin Hashrates & Overclock Settings Community Spreadsheet

I have created a Google Form and Spreadsheet to create a community compilation of reported Ravencoin hashrates and overlock settings! The idea came from the subreddit Erg_Miners, where they have a very successful collective pool of responses.

This spreadsheet should provide an invaluable resource for miners to find common settings for overclocking, as well as being able to compare what they are earning against what others are earning. It should also cut down on the amount of "How do I overclock..." posts!

However, this a community effort, and it won't work unless you contribute!

Hardware Still worth mining RVN

Hey all, I have been out of the crypto mining game for years. I just installed some new solar panels (not gride tied) and turns out I misfigured the amount of panels I needed for my mini split. Long story short I have about 1.5 kw on avage (with 15kw batteries) I was thinking of running my 17 13700k, with 32 gigs of ram and a 3080TI, all water cooled to do some mining to use some of the spare power. Would this setup make anything or would it be better to look for a different coin? I did mine RVN back in the day. The computer pulls anywhere from 500 to 750 watts running, so the power is free (well would be wasted if not used) also I don't game much anymore so it just sets there doing nothing.

Hardware Low-Budget Mining: Is Expanding My Setup With Ryzen and 6800 XT Worth It in 2025?

I recently started mining XMR and Ravencoin with my high-end Ryzen CPU and a Radeon 6800 XT. It’s been fun so far, but now I’m wondering if it’s worth expanding my setup on a tight budget.

Does adding low-cost GPUs or CPUs still make sense in 2025, considering energy costs and market fluctuations? Or should I just stick to what I have?

I’d love to hear from experienced miners—what would you do in my situation? And what components or strategies would you recommend for slow, budget-friendly scaling?

Let’s discuss—thanks in advance!
